Since our parents built the cottage in 1957, we have shared the house with guests most years. My two siblings and I now have our own families and now all the cousins and grandkids appreciate that Grammy and Grandpa left this legacy for future generations to enjoy. We appreciate being able to share the cottage with others so they can also enjoy the wonders of this special place.

Fortunately for us, our parents bought the land and built a modest summer cottage in 1957. Two other family friends also bought land around us at the same time and my siblings and I grew up with their kids and are still friends. Our parents chose this location for the obvious attributes that remain today; the private access to Muddy Cove, close proximity to Menemsha, Chilmark beaches and seclusion just to name a few highlights. We added on to the cottage in the early '90's and we have done many updates since with the most recent being remodeled kitchen, indoor shower, new chairs and couch in the living room, replaced old beds with new frames and king size mattresses in two of the three bedrooms.

This location is unique because of the fantastic views over marshes, to Muddy Cove and the channel, to Picnic Point and Menemsha Pond and beyond to Aquinnah. Our private access over our property to Muddy Cove, easy walk to Menemsha, Chilmark beaches, and seclusion are just a few highlights of this property.
