Leave your car in the private off-road parking and head into the cosy living space, which includes superfast WiFi and a Smart TV with soundbar. Relax on the large sofa and chairs, all positioned around the hearth and log burner. Enjoy sea views down to Shell Island, Pensarn harbour and Llanbedr.

In the kitchen you’ll find all new appliances and your welcome pack on the bright breakfast bar which captures the morning sun—as well as a washer-dryer in the utility area.
The dining area, complete with bespoke seating, includes an extendable table to seat up to six, and is the perfect place to enjoy a meal to celebrate your holiday. Also on the ground floor, you’ll find a second toilet and a porch—ideal to leave your walking boots, flip flops or wetsuits after a day enjoying all the activities the area has to offer.
Head upstairs and you’ll discover three bedrooms, all with super-comfortable mattresses and Smart TVs. The main bedroom includes a feature beam and king-sized bed, and stunning views down to the sea. The second bedroom features a double bed, panelling and character furniture while the third room includes a full-sized bunk bed (which is suitable for adults).
The first floor also includes the shower room, with a generous shower cubicle and unlimited, high-pressure hot water.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast in the garden, before exploring the nearby town of Harlech, which has local shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as the world-famous—and World Heritage listed—castle.
You’ll find miles of beautiful beach just a short 10-minute walk from the cottage (though there are steps—if you prefer a more sedate trip there are two beaches less than five minutes’ drive away).
The cottage is also close to Porthmadog, home to a variety of cuisines, as well as a maritime museum and the famous Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway. Nearby Portmeirion offers award-winning restaurants, stunning architecture and gardens, as well as a host of independent shops and cafes.
For golfers, the cottage is ideally positioned within a trio of courses almost unrivaled in the UK: Royal St. David’s, “one of the finest settings for golf in the world”, is just 3 minutes’ drive away and you can also visit the renowned Aberdovey and Nefyn courses. Gwelfor is a fantastic holiday home at any time of year, perfectly located to explore the delights of Snowdonia National Park and the wonderful Welsh coast.

Really lovely little place. We were family of five, which is a little snug in the lounge but perfectly manageable. Facilities are all to a high standard. Great location, short walk from a stunning and basically deserted beach, perfect spot to unwind. Thanks for a lovely week!

Das Häuschen aus Natursteinen ist gut ausgestattet, sauber, mit gutem WLAN, ordentlich ausgestatteter Küche. Die Heizung wärmt es bei Bedarf schnell auf. Für alle Fragen zur Technik gibt es ein gut geführtes Onlinehandbuch. Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft.
