Colline Toscane Apartment set amidst an amazing panorama and are in a perfect location to experience a relaxing vacation in Southern Tuscany.
The Quercia and Castagno are cut into a hill some 600m above sea level with uninterrupted views of the local village of Sarteano, an ancient medieval village famous for its renaissance castle and churches, the surrounding villages, (some as far as 50 kms from the apartments) and the lakes:Trasimeno, Chiusi and Montepulciano on the Val di Chiana valley, which abuts the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO world heritage site in Southern Tuscany.
The apartment IL CASTAGNO is on the ground floor, is equipped with every comfort: WIFI, satellite TV washing machine, 4-burner stove, electric oven, microwave, iron with table, hairdryer, fridge/freezer, crockery, pots, the lot. You will also be able to prepare delicious meals outside with your barbecue, while drinking a glass of Chianti!

IL CASTAGNO and LA QUERCIA are part of a newly built two-storey villa with terraces on each floor. Each apartment enjoys its own private garden and facilities with access to a lush small wood consisting of oak, walnut and chestnut trees over a sloping terrain.
Experience al fresco dining on the terrace watching a Tuscan sunset and our terraced “Panoramic Pool” (3.5m x7mx 1.2h) with incredible turquoise water, a solarium with plenty of sunbeds, loungers and umbrellas but most of all with the most amazing views! Soak the Tuscan sun on the terrace. A wide variety of organic vegetables and fruits (from the well-stocked owner's kitchen garden) are also at your disposal
The 2 apartments can be rented together to accommodate a max of 8 adults+2 children.

Visit Cortona, (Under the Tuscan Sun’s book), Florence, Siena, Perugia, Orvieto, Assisi, Arezzo, Rome. Explore the unique towns of Pienza, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Montalcino (Brunello) and enjoy their famous wines. Bright modern apartment in a quiet house setting

Beautiful views amidst a flowering garden setting with many outdoor spots to sit. The friendly and generous owner is next door, making it easy to get tips for local destinations and good restaurants and food shops, and quick help with questions or little problems that may arise. Little touches such as the bottle of olive oil pressed from the owner's own olive trees were helpful and added to the authentic experience enjoying the simple pleasures of this part of Tuscany. The master bedroom is large and the 2 nd bedroom which we didn't need on this trip is a bit narrow for ease of getting past the foot of 1 of the single beds to get to the other. This 2nd room is best for 1 adult or 2 children. All rooms including the bathroom have well fitting screens and the shutters and windows operate perfectly. We look forward to coming back in a warmer month to enjoy more of the easy outdoor life that this apartment is so well set up for, and to see our host, Donna, again.

Absolute Perfection

We have stayed in many VRBO properties across the US and now in Italy and this was hands down our most incredible experience. Donna is an amazing woman who worked to make sure our stay was picture perfect. She even brought us fresh fruits and vegetables from her garden and specially delivered basil when we needed it for a recipe and couldn’t find any in the grocery store. Her home is immaculate and totally comfortable. The view is legendary, we were close enough to walk into town, even the neighbors were amazing. I’ve never felt more at home on vacation. We are already dreaming of our return to Tuscany and Donna’s perfect hospitality. Thank you for an unforgettable trip!

Schöne Lage, Perfekte Gastgeberin

Haus mit zwei Wohnungen und kleinem, gemeinsamen Pool ruhig gelegen am Rande von Sarteano - 2,5km zum Ortskern. Wunderbarer Blick! Lage gut zur Erkundung der südlichen Toskana - man ist recht schnell mit dem Auto im Val d'Orcia, in Pienza, Siena oder Montepulciano. Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist die sehr freundliche, immer erreichbare Gastgeberin Donna, die uns mit eigenem Gemüse versorgt hat und sogar ein toskanisches Gericht und Tiramisu für uns zubereitet hat. Auch der Holzgrill wurde mehrmals genutzt. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Très bon accueil, séjour reposant

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette propriété. L'appartement et l'équipement sont conformes à la description. La piscine donne le petit plus à ce lieu calme (mis à part quelques aboiements des chiens aux alentours) et charmant. La literie est de bonne qualité et la cuisine très bien équipée! Le centre du village est tout proche. Il y a de très bons restaurants et les petits commerces vendent des produits de qualité...avec le sourire ! Donna, la propriétaire est très sympathique et avenante. Elle sait accueillir ses hôtes et les mettre à l'aise. Elle nous a concocté plusieurs délicieux plats typiques de la région, a partagé des légumes et fruits issus de son jardin! La maison et son jardin sont très bien entretenus et quand vous séjournez 2 semaines, elle vient même faire le ménage et changer vos draps et serviettes de bain! Top classe!! Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu de vacances pour vous ressourcer et passer du bon temps! C'est une région très vallonnée, riche en domaines viticoles ! Pleins de petits villages à visiter. Nous avons découverts les thermes (gratuits) de Saturnia et le jardin des Tarots de Niki de St-Phalle à Capalbio, visiter Montalcino, Montepulciano, Sienne, Pise,... Pour nous, c'est une très bonne adresse! Merci Donna

Sehr schöne , sehr ruhige Wohnung. Alles tiptop- den Pool hatten wir sogar für uns alleine.Aber das beste ist DONNA!!!! Wir haben schön viele FW gehabt, aber eine solche Vermieterin ist einmalig.Schon die Ankunft toll.Von frischen Tomaten, Olivenoel, Kaffee, Marmelade und sogar einen selbstgebackenen Kuchen zusammen mit vielen wertvollen Infos, die uns Donna gab ,wurden wir herzlich begrüsst. Zudem wurden wir in den 12 Tagen immer wieder mit Ital. Spezialitäten aus ihrer Küche verwöhnt. Tiramisu, Auberginenauflauf, Panzanella - alles köstlich. Ein Aufenthalt bei Donna in Sarteano ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Absolut empfehlenswert - Top-Austattung, herzliche Gastgeberin

Wir können uns den anderen Bewertungen nur anschließen: Die Ferienwohnung ist wirklich sehr gepflegt und die Betreuung herausragend. Die Wohnung ist komplett und hochwertig ausgestattet. In der Küche fehlt es an nichts. Die Waschmaschine in der Wohnung ist auch sehr praktisch. Die Dusche hat einen erstklassigen Wasserdruck, gleiches gilt für die Klospülung :-). Hinter dem Haus hat man einen tollen Blick auf den Sternenhimmel. Sehr gemütliche Betten. Alle Fenster hatten Fliegengitter. Die Wohnung ist in einem Haus mit zwei Ferienwohnung (eine im Erdgeschoss, eine im Obergeschoss), rundherum ansonsten nur normale Häuser. Dank der Hanglage hat man einen fantastischen Ausblick. Den Pool teilen sich die beiden Wohnungen. Er dient v.a. zur Abkühlung und Plantschen, zum Schwimmen ist er etwas zu klein. Die Holzterrasse um den Pool ist sehr hochwertig, die Liegen ausreichend für beide Ferienwohnungen. Sonnenschirme sind auch ausreichend da. Die Betreuung ist herausragend. Donna hatte uns bereits viel Material geschickt. In der Ferienwoche selbst wurde sie aufgrund kurzfristig von einem Freund, Guido, vertreten, der sehr freundlich und gut erreichbar war, ausgezeichnet Englisch gesprochen hat und bei Fragen immer gleich geholfen hat. Als wir ankamen, stand am auf dem Küchentisch ein großer Korb voller Obst und Gemüse aus Donnas Garten, dazu eine Flasche guter Wein, selbst gemachte Marmelda und ein selbst gebackener Kuchen. Während der Woche gab es dann nochmals ein selbstgemachtes Tiramisu. Und noch zum Ort: Sarteano ist ein kleine, aber sehr lebendige Stadt. Es gibt eine Reihe guter, teils überragender Restaurants und auch gute Geschäfte für den alltäglichen Bedarf – wie z.B. einen guten Bäcker, ein Geschäft mit frischer Pasta und einen Metzger. Zudem einen kleinen Coop-Supermarkt. Die Wohnung liegt ca. 2 Min. mit dem Auto entfernt zum Ortskern. In weniger als 15 Min. ist man zudem auf der Autobahn Florenz - Rom. Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza und andere Orte sind gut in einer halben oder ganzen Stunden erreichbar. Kurzum: Absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir waren vom 12.05.-26.05.18 hier, und hatten die untere Ferienwohnung gemietet. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich von Donna, der Vermieterin, empfangen. Sie erklärte uns in einwandfreiem Englisch, daß die obere Wohnung in den nächsten 2 Wochen nicht vermietet sei, und wir das gesamte Anwesen allein nutzen können. Es gibt dort eine Vielzahl von Sitzecken. Ob Sonne, oder ein Schattenplätzchen... man findet immer die passende Sitzmöglichkeit. Ebenso erfreute uns, dass sie den Pool schon für uns geöffnet hatte, obwohl in der Beschreibung dies erst ab 20.05. angekündigt war. Auch in der Ferienwohnung war alles so, wie wir es erwartet haben. Die Küche ist mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet. Sogar für die Nespresso Maschine lagen einige Kaffeekapseln bereit! Überrascht waren wir, daß nach 1 Woche nicht nur die Handtücher und Bettwäsche getauscht wurden, sondern das auch die gesamte Ferienwohnung gereinigt wurde. An einigen Tagen verwöhnte uns Donna mit landesüblichen, köstlichen Leckereien. Das Tiramisu war "phantastisch", und auf unser nachfragen, hat sie das Rezept für uns -sogar in deutsch- aufgeschrieben. Für das morgendliche Brötchen holen, muss man allerdings gut zu Fuß sein. Das Haus liegt ziemlich weit oben... aber dafür hat man einen sensationellen Ausblick! Alles in allem... es war herrlich, und wir würden immer wieder gerne unseren Urlaub hier verbringen. Danke, Donna, für die wunderschöne Zeit bei dir!

Genau, wie beschrieben!

Wir sind eine Familie mit zwei Kindern (11 und 15 Jahre) und haben unseren 14-tägigen Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Die Wohnung war genau, wie beschrieben und gut eingerichtet. Wir hatten die Wohnung unten (Il Castagno) mit einem Doppelbett und zwei Einzelbetten. Toll war auch, das diverse Gewürze wie auch Spülmittel und -schwamm und sogar Waschmittel für die Waschmaschine vorhanden waren. Wir wurden jeden Morgen mit einem Sonnenaufgang und dem tollen Blick über die Ebene begrüßt. Der Pool hat bis zum Nachmittag Sonne und ist sehr gepflegt. Zum Abend verschwindet die Sonne hinter dem Berg und wir konnten in angenehmen Temperaturen schlafen oder den Sternenhimmel betrachten. Das Auto parkt direkt vor der Tür. Und wer den Ausblick satt haben sollte: es gibt ein ausführliches Fernsehprogramm. Die Begrüßung mit der Vermieterin Donna war sehr herzlich und ausführlich. Sie hat uns einen Stadtplan von Sarteano überlassen, wo ihre persönlichen Empfehlungen wie Eis, Pizza, Pasta und mehr eingetragen waren, das war ein super Einstieg für uns. Im liebevoll angelegten Garten durften wir uns frei bewegen und ernten: Tomaten, Zwetschgen, Gurken, Salat, das selbst produzierte Olivenöl verlängert uns gerade noch den Urlaub zu Hause. Wir haben dort das Grillen mit Holz (also ohne Kohle) ausprobiert und haben auch das als Erinnerung mitgenommen! In ca. 10 Min. Auto-Entfernung ist ein großer Supermarkt und in Sarteano selbst sind auch zwei Supermärkte, wo mal alles findet. Ebenso ist direkt im Ort ein Fleischer, Gelateria, Apotheke, es gibt ein Geschäft mit frischer Pasta, Post, Tankstelle, div. Restaurants usw. Der Ort selbst hat eine gute Mischung aus Altstadt mit imposanter Burg und modernen Geschäften. Im August hatten wir das Glück, die Mittelalter- und Musikfeste zu erleben. Wir konnten leider kaum italienisch, sind mit englisch aber meistens gut klargekommen. Wir haben einen Strandtag und eine Besichtigungstour in Pisa eingeplant (jeweils ca. 2 Std. Autofahrt). Am Ende der 1. Woche wurden komplett die Textilien ausgetauscht. In der Küche wird mit Gas gekocht und der Müll wird außerhalb vom Haus eine Straße weiter in verschiedenen Müllcontainern getrennt. Im Garten und am Pool kann man kleine Eidechsen/Geckos beobachten. Total zu empfehlen!

Tremendous Tuscany

We can thoroughly recommend the apartment Il Castagno. Upon arrival, Donna welcomed us very warmly and explained many of the local features of the area. A small marked map helped. The apartment itself was a real home from home. Wifi, TV with satellite channels and even a hard drive USB'd in for family films. The boys enjoyed the folder entitled 'super hero films'. The kitchen was good and clean as well as the general living areas. What we found really great was our outdoor living spaces. The balcony out the front allows views of the sunrise. The clear air and skies afford a super view across to the lakes and nearby mountains. We also used the BBQ and dining space outside by the front door. The garden supplied us plenty of lettuce, tomatoes, blackberries & plums. Sarteano itself was a nice short walk away and easily settled us into the Tuscany lifestyle. Restaurant De La Piscina saved us on Sunday when we had little food in. Donna had helpfully informed us they do takeaway pizza ! That always makes for happy kids. Rome was not too far away for a day trip by train from Chuisi. Siena was a highlight and only 40 minutes drive away. But as always after a day out the highlight for our 2 boys was as ever - the pool. That welcome shock of cold water after a day in the sun. The pool is shaded in the afternoon by the apartment itself, so no fear of burning while swimming. We would return to Tuscany and Sarteano tomorrow. The apartment here made us feel like we were part of Sarteano and not just holidaymakers. Jim & Sally England.

Fantastic location and facilities

Greeted on arrival by our hostess. Immediately made to feel welcome and at home, Donna discussed what we could do during our stay and pointed us to the best restaurants (pizza, fish), local shops (pasta, cheese, bread) and services. She was supportive without being intrusive and nothing was too much to ask. The property was spotless, well-equipped with a fantastic panorama over the valley and ideally situated for a family. Within walking distance to Sarteano and driving distance to the main road/rail network (Rome, Siena) it provided the ideal location to explore the locality and region. We spent a very relaxing week at the villa, making full use of the pool, BBQ etc. and would have no hesitation in returning (which we fully intend to do) or recommending it (which we have already done!). A five star experience.

Fantastic holiday rental

We had a lovely stay in Il Castagno. Donna was a fabulous host greeting us on arrival and having made us a delicious home made cake and a bottle of local wine. The property was as advertised. Set in the hills above the village with stunning views. The pool area was lovely and we had everything we needed to stay in or go out. Donna recommended some great restaurants in the village and even surprised us one night with a home made pudding. What a beautiful villa with stunning views!

We arrived on Monday afternoon, Donna met us at the gates, she had made a lovely cake for us, which was delicious!, The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed, and more!! The pool was spotlessly clean, with plenty of sun beds, there were lots of seating areas in the garden above. The views are amazing, the gardens are beautiful, full of flowers, vegetables and fruit which Donna encouraged us to take of advantage of. Donna was wonderful, giving us lots of information about the surrounding area. She was always happy to answer any questions we had. We had a wonderful holiday, and we would definitely return to this lovely apartment. Thank you Donna for making our stay so special.

The most wonderful holiday spot !!

We had the time of our life ! The place was nice, very well equipped for a family holiday. We want our kids to go to sleep in time and therefore need to be able to cook our own meal at the apartment, which was perfectly organised and equipped to do so. We even had our own barbecue available and were invited to pick some vegetables from the garden ! The rooms are big enough to store even the children's toys during the stay, we could wash their clothes when needed, ... Everything was just perfect. Donna is the most perfect landlady we could imagine ! She spoiled us with little treats and very delicious Italian dishes. She guided us whenever we had questions about the environment. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool which was cleaned every morning. We are definitely coming back in a few years and are even planning to bring some friends/family along in the second apartment. See you soon Donna !!

Beautiful Apartment in Stunning Location

A beautiful apartment with stunning views across the valley to Lake Trasimeno and beyond. The apartment was very well equipped, comfortable, clean and tidy. We were made very welcome by Donna, the owner, who had supplied fresh fruit, tomatoes, olive oil, wine, coffe and a delicious home made cake for our arrival. During our stay she also brought fresh figs from her own garden and a traditional Italian pudding which was delicious. We were encouraged to pick what we wanted from the kitchen garden and when we left we were given a box to Tuscan tomatoes to take with us. Facilities inside the apartment were great with washing machine, TV with satellite channel, fully equipped kitchen, WiFi and a notebook computer. Outside the apartment was equally amazing with a beautiful pool, sun terraces, patio, loggia and a fantastic log burning barbecue with all fuel provided at no extra charge. The apartment is within a walkable distance of Sarteano which itself is an attractive Tuscan village with castle, historic centre and lots of bars and restaurants - not to mention ice cream and pasta! It's also a great location for exploring the beautiful Tuscan countryside with its many hill top villages and cultural centres. We would recommend this apartment to anyone and would love to return for a second visit. David, Sue and Nick England

What a charming place !

We stayed at La Colline Toscane for 10 days in September 2015. What a wonderful place, with a unbelievable view of the valley in front of you. The two bedroom apartment was large and spotless. Everything we needed was provided, including bedding and towels. We were greeted by Donna with a delicious cake, some homemade jam and relish, a bottle of wine, some olive oil and a large bowl of fresh fruits and vegetables from her garden. Donna and Serge were always available to help us and we couldn't ask for better hosts. Without a doubt, we have made new friends. This is the best experience we have had in all the apartments we rented in Europe. Sarteano is a wonderful small village and a nice central location to visit Southern Tuscany. We would without hesitation highly recommend renting an apartment at La Colline Toscane. Thank you, thank you, thank you Donna, Serge and Lara. We hope to see you all soon.

Great place in Tuscany

The property was very well equipped and maintained with fabulous views over the valley. The arrangements for our stay were well organised and the property manager and the owners were helpful and friendly during our stay without being intrusive. The facilities were excellent and the garden provided sunny and shaded areas all through the day. We particularly enjoyed the kitchen garden and the cake, jam and traditional pudding that the owner gave us. It was also a great plus on arrival to find oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and coffee provided. Sarteano is a pleasant little town ideally placed for visiting the towns and attractions in Tuscany. It has a market, restaurants and a great pasta shop. We would highly recommend the property.

Urlaub in der Toskana

Den bisherigen sehr guten Bewertungen können wir uns nur anschließen – die Ferienwohnung ist einfach perfekt in Lage und Ausstattung. Wir hatten 2 Wochen herrliches Sommerwetter und konnten somit den Pool, die großzügige Terrasse und den Balkon mit seinem traumhaften Blick bis zum Lago di Trasimeno genießen und dabei immer auch einen schattigen Platz finden. Der Empfang durch Donna (Kuchen, Wein, nützliche Tipps rund um Sarteano/Toskana …) und die Betreuung während unseres Aufenthaltes waren überaus herzlich. Das Gesamtpaket Toskana – Sarteano – FeWo Colline Tosacane hat uns überzeugt, wir vergeben die Maximalpunktzahl und kommen sicher wieder!

bellissima vacanza

Capita poche volte di trovare più di quello che ti aspetti. L'appartamento, che dire, è nuovo con ottime finiture in stile toscano, bel giardino sul retro con barbeque, privacy, relax/lettura e il terrazzo con vista irresistibile sul lago trasimeno e i paesi vicini, da vedere assolutamente la sera, bella cucina attrezzata di tutto anche dell'espresso, belle camere con lenzuola di qualità con vista mozzafiato. Ambiente pulito e funzionale. Siamo stati veramente bene in piscina, ci siamo rilassati sotto l'ombrellone e di tanto in tanto un bel bagno rigenerante, apprezzando sempre il fantastico panorama. Accoglienza speciale, tante piccole accortezze che ti fanno sentire bene, dalla squisita torta fatta in casa, marmellata, zucchine, insalata, radicchio, rucola, tutto rigorosamente dell'orto ed ottimo vino del luogo. I padroni di casa, moglie e marito, sono eccezionalmente ospitali e gentili, ci hanno fornito indicazioni sui luoghi più caratteristici da visitare. Vivamente consigliato. Da 10 e lode !!

Super location!!!

Nous avons séjourné une semaine en famille avec nos 2 filles de 3 et 6 ans dans l'appartement "Il Castagno" . Nous en revenons tout simplement enchantés! Tout d'abord, merci à Donna pour sa gentillesse, son formidable accueil (en français) et pour ses délicieux présents dont nos papilles se souviennent encore (je vous en laisse la surprise!). L'appartement est très confortable, au calme, d'une propreté irréprochable et parfaitement équipé. Il ne manque rien!!! Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison. Sarteano est un excellent point de départ pour visiter la région (Sienne, Pérouse et tous les villages du Val d'Orcia tel que Pienza, Montepulciano...). et un charmant village médiéval que je recommande de prendre le temps de visiter. Son château est sympa et peu cher à visiter. Pour les courses, un supermarché COOP et tous les commerces se trouvent au village, distant d'environ 2 km de la location. Enfin, je garde le meilleur pour la fin : la piscine où nous nous baignions chaque jour. Par bonheur, la température était bonne et à la fois rafraîchissante, chose rare en Italie (les piscines y sont bien souvent trop chaudes et limitent les bienfaits de la baignade). Je précise que la sécurité est optimale pour les enfants car les 2 portes d'accès à la piscine sont équipées d'une serrure à code. En un mot, je recommande vivement cette location dont le rapport qualité-prix est à mon avis inégalable.

Perfect appartement

Het appartement is op en top in orde. Alles aanwezig, voldoende ruimte om te zonnen bij het zwembad, maar ook op het eigen balkon. Donna is een perfecte gastvrouw en je wordt hartelijk ontvangen met een uitgebreide uitleg, maar ook wijn en jam van eigen makelij. Zelfs koffie was al in ruime mate aanwezig. Zeer aan te raden en ook nog eens met een prachtig uitzicht over Lago di Chiusi en Lago Trasimeno. Wel iets gehorig vanuit het appartement erboven, maar driekwart van de dag ben je toch buiten of onderweg.

Holiday Heaven!

This was our second visit to the most wonderful set of holiday apartments one could ever hope to find. Everything one could conceivably need was provided, including a collection of groceries and milk to get us started; Donna had even gone to the trouble of buying a special outdoor chair for me since she knew from our previous visit that I have mobility issues and that I would probably not manage to use the existing sun-loungers, of which there are many on the various terraces and around the pool. The apartment itself is superbly equipped, pleasantly decorated, beautifully clean and comfortable. It also offers the most stunning views over the surrounding countryside to Lake Trasimeno and the hills beyond. Il Castagno has its own balcony and terrace that between them almost surround it, so that guests can follow the sun (or the shade, as in the case of my husband) all day long. Next to the outdoor dining area there is an attractive brick-built barbecue with a plentiful supply of logs beneath. Indoors is equally delightful, with a well equipped kitchen and dining area, comfortable furniture and beds. There is a selection of reading matter, DVDs and a note-pad computer for the use of guests. Donna and her husband Serge are extremely thoughtful and welcoming hosts. As well as the groceries and fresh milk to welcome us, we were thoroughly spoiled with home-made produce, wine, conserves, gifts of cherries and home-made tiramisu etc. They were both happy to deal with any questions or pleas for help, even to the extent of sourcing a soldering iron for my husband who needed to replace a plug on our electric coolbox so that we could bring various cheeses and other perishable foodstuffs, safely back to the UK! Nothing seemed too much trouble. They also suggested places to visit, places to eat and things to do. One could not wish for more attentive hosts. What a pity that 5 stars is the maximum award available! The Colline Toscane and Cipresso Hideaway deserve 10 at least! My only reservation in writing this review is that so many people will want to book this accommodation that it will be more difficult for us to visit in future! Janet, UK

Highly recommended

A warm welcome, friendly and very helpful hosts. Kitchen garden was a tasty bonus and the kids absolutely adored picking their own cucumbers for tea. Donna also gave us a delicious welcome basket of homemade culinary delights. The way that we were made to feel welcome and looked after really sets this holiday house aside from other places we have visited. Well equipped - extra help with toddler requirements Fantastic area to visit, lots to do, not necessarily easy to find out whats on and where, but Donna gave great assistance with this and we would love to return to see what we missed. Wonderful outside space, beautiful gardens and views. Extremely relaxing. Lots of tables and chairs for outside dining and the log BBQ was a fun and delicious way to cook. We visited as three groups - a couple and two families of four. A perfect set up to accommodate us all and yet each have our own space. The pool was great for spashing around and a quick cool down, the hot tub a luxurious alternative for cooler days. We would definitely recommend this holiday house and would love to return sometime soon to see both the area and the charming hosts. Naomi (England)

Gorgeous views and perfect location

We stayed at Colline Toscane apartments ..... on our vacation to Italy in September this year. The property is truly magnificent. two bedroom, nice and well equipped kitchen, cosy and comfortable beds and a divine pool. Each room is nicely decorated and has a heavenly view. The main bedroom have glass door and you can access the balcony. Its a perfect location with beautiful and peaceful surroundings. There are lot of open spaces and complete privacy. The decor is tastefully done and has all the comforts of home. The owners Donna and her husband are warm and fantastic hosts. They made our stay memorable. Upon our arrival she had fresh vegetable, wine, olive oil and a cake. Also she made our favorite desert a tiramisu just for us. Oh! it was fabulous. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone. We give this property a five stars!

Highly recommended

We've stayed in Il Castagno for 1 week. Although the weather was not perfect we really enjoyed our stay in Tuscany. The Appartement had anything we needed, it was clean and very well established. The pool area with the great view into the tuscan landscape is certainly a Highlight. Donna is a great host, very friendly and helpful. She welcomed us warmly with some selfmade presents and had a lot of helpful advices how to make the most of our stay in Sarteano. We can absolutely recommend this appartment for spending a great Holiday at Tuscany!
