All of this can be enjoyed in our large Ligurian-style garden. ​ After breakfast, in just ten minutes, you can be in Portovenere or at the La Spezia train station, where trains depart for the Cinque Terre. ​ But that’s not all. ​ Our home not only boasts an enviable location but also stands out for its unique style. In the 18th century, the house was a monastery for friars and was once directly connected to the church via an underground passage. ​ In the 1990s, the house was completely renovated and furnished according to the refined taste of my grandparents, Carla and Luigi: vintage tiles by Gianni Versace, solid wood furniture custom-made by artisans, and a bathtub with lion’s-foot legs are just a few of the details that will impress you the most.<br><br><br>Our home, A~Mare, is located in Fezzano di Portovenere, in the Gulf of Poets. That’s why it’s the ideal base for exploring all the other unique places in the area! Fezzano di Portovenere is a small seaside village that’s more intimate than other, more crowded destinations; by staying with us, you’ll be able to truly appreciate the local charm. Plus, Fezzano comes alive with traditional restaurants where you can savour the best local dishes, as well as bars where you can enjoy a great aperitif!
