With its location at the confluence of the Dales and Ribble Valley moorlands, Hellifield has long been an important agricultural hub, and its cattle market has long been a fixture in northern England's agricultural calendar. Settle-Carlisle Railway passes through some of the most stunning and inspiring upland terrain in the country on its journey to its current status as a railroad hub. It is only a short drive from Malham Cove to Skipton and Malham, two towns in the Yorkshire Dales region known for their natural beauty. As a starting point for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Forest of Bowland, Hellifield is an ideal place to stay while on your trip.
