About this property
Boutique style centrally located terrace, award winning Skipton Yorkshire Dales
Duke's View is your home away from home, situated on a quiet residential street yet only strides away from Skipton Town Centre, one of the recently voted happiest towns to live in. Duke's View, the perfect base for a family, couples or friends who want to explore the Yorkshire Dales with easy access to Bronte country, historic York as well as vibrant Leeds, or just have a few days away from it all.
High quality furnishings and fittings await your stay at this fully central heated and double glazed boutique property. Duke's View has good free WiFi, the upstairs is carpeted whilst the ground floor is quality Karndene flooring. The upstairs accommodation provides one super king (zip and link) bedroom, and one kingsized bedroom sharing a luxury modern house bathroom with full walk in shower, double ended bath and heated mirror. The main bedroom has a super kingsized bed (zip and link) so could be separated to a twin, is light and spacious with two built in wardrobes, bedside tables and set of drawers. The second bedroom has a king sized bed, with a free standing wardrobe, and with open aspect towards the castle. The living room has a bay window and provides a comfortable sofa and chairs, has a Smart TV with free view, and DVD player. The dining room with vintage style solid pine table which comfortably seats four (2 spare chairs available if you have visitors) and useful under stair storage where you will find the iron and ironing board, vacuum and cleaning equipment, is adjacent to the fully fitted and equipped modern kitchen, with dishwasher, induction hob, eye level cooker, microwave, 50/50 fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. We provide tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and washing up liquid as a minimum. Direct access from the kitchen to the flagged yard making it ideal for a BBQ on a summer's evening. Located in the back yard is useful utility space, ideal after a day of walking for those muddy boots, and wet coats, this updated space also houses the washing machine and small tumble dyer, and can be a safe bike store. Free unlimited on street parking is available.
Duke's view is within walking distance of the railway station, bus station, 3 supermarkets, an independent cinema as well as a variety of eating places - providing a full range of menus and price points.
The market town of Skipton (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays) is not only home to it's famous medieval castle but hosts many attractions throughout the year, from it's Christmas markets (December), Yarndale (September), Sheep Day (June), the Puppet festival (October) as well as the famous Waterways festival (May Bank Holiday) . The beautiful Aireville Park is a short walk, mainly along the canal, from Beckside where activities for all ages can be found, mini golf, children's play areas, tennis, skate parks, high ropes adventure as well as the Craven Leisure Centre with all its leisure facilities (swimming, gym and classes). Visit for more details. Almost on the doorstep plenty of charming Yorkshire Dales villages with their own unique charms such as Grassington, Malham and the wonderful Malham Cove and Limestone Paving, the lovely Bolton Abbey providing riverside walks as well as the majestic Strid. Why not visit Embsay and take the steam train or venture to Ilkley with it's outdoor Lido, famous moor and standing stones, and of course don't forget to stop at Betty's for a 'fat rascal'.
Short breaks accepted all year round, restrictions apply.
