Nearby Cambrian Mountains or Brecon Beacons can be easily reached by car for more strenuous walks, while trails and routes meander through woodland and along rivers in the immediate vicinity of the settlement itself. Several stores, museums, craft centres and restaurants can be found in the towns of Llandrindod Wells, Rhayader and Builth Wells as well. It's possible to get up up and personal with Red Kites at the Rhayader Red Kite Feeding Station and the Elan Valley Lakes, as well as the Phil Price Rally School.
