Town: A small village on the Isle of Anglesey, Llannerch-y-Medd is a great place to immerse yourself in Welsh culture, with more than 60 percent of the locals speaking Welsh, there's no better time to learn a new language and put your skills to the test, just be thankful you're not in the area of Llanfairpwllgwyngogerychwyrndrobhwllllantysiliogogogoch.
The village's disused Anglesey Central Railway makes it a great destination for train buffs, and the old buildings in the area now house a cafe and tea rooms where visitors can relax while admiring the surrounding landscapes of Wales.

When it comes to birdwatching, there are few places better than LLyn Alaw Reservoir.
The Pili Palas Nature World in Anglesey is a great place for kids to get up close and personal with the animals, and the Anglesey Sea Zoo has more than 150 species of marine life to see.
