About the host
Hosted by Mrs Anne-Marie Hawkins

My husband and I have been refurbishing properties for over 25 years. In 2019 we decided to turn our cottage Little Gem on Cartway into self catering accommodation. The cottage was modelled on everything we would want in a holiday home when we go away and have failed to find or have been sadly disappointed. Little Gem was followed by Shining Star a few years later.
Why they chose this property
Shining star has a wonderful location on the historic Cartway a route used in the past by laden donkeys to bring goods up from the River from barges moored by the Quayside. It has views from the sunny back terrace down to the River Severn and across to High Rock. It is decorated to a high standard and offers spacious accommodation for a family of 3. There is a study on the back of the house if you should want to work whilst away. If you bring your Little Star there is plenty to keep them entertained, books, toys and a Dolls House. The cottage is stocked with essentials, washing up liquid, toilet rolls tea and coffee, cereals and more we even supply logs for the fire we just ask for a small contribution of £10 per stay. We are consistently rated 5 stars so you will not be disappointed.
What makes this property unique
Shining Star is different to other self catering accommodations, we can offer you:
* A Private Parking Space at a small fee minutes from the cottage. (Must be Pre booked as shared with Little Gem)
* Scenic views across the River Severn
* Personal touches to show how much we care about you, your holiday and our cottage.
* Extras including a generous welcome basket, breakfast essentials.
* Fuel for the fire - we ask for a contribution of £10 per stay.
