About this property
Two minutes from beach. Cosy pet-friendly cottage in cool location with garden.
Seaside Cottage is a two minute stroll from Whitstable beach and five minutes from the pretty high street. It has an airy open plan layout downstairs. Upstairs there is a front double bedroom and two back bedrooms with two single beds. Toilet/bathroom are downstairs.
The property has a large fenced-in dog-friendly garden and patio area for outdoor dining and is also only a few minutes walk to the main high street full of shops, restaurants and bars.
There are steps down to the cottage and the stairs inside are steep so we do not take bookings for children under six.
We are happy to have well-behaved pets - the beach in front of the cottage is dog-friendly throughout the year.

Location Location Location …Charming House in the heart of old Whitstable, well furnished and equipped, congenial communication with Bruce, all in all a fine digs!
The location was unbeatable. Maximum 3 minutes walk to the beach, even with the kods dragging their feet. We were lucky to find parking on a street 2 minutes away based on information received from the host and we only went back to the car after checkout, literally everything (beach, harbour, castle, town....) was an easy walk from the apartment. We would be happy to viait again.

Thank you for your review, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. We would be delighted to have you back any time!
The cottage was relaxing and the interior suited Whitstable. It felt like home from home. Right next to the sea in a quiet road. 5 mins walk to high street. Highly recommended.
Lovely cottage 2 minutes walk from the seafront and the Neptune pub. A coiple of minutes to high street. Only thing I would say is that the staircase is very steep and narrow and may not suit some people.

Thank you for your kind, fair review. We make it clear what the stairs are like in the description and in the pictures, not really suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
This is a great place to come. The beach and harbour are in easy walking distance. The area is full of charm and atmosphere. Even a cute cafe around the corner.Kitchen is very well set up and good grocery stores nearby in the high street. Beds and bed linens were lovely. Dining room so nice for having friends in for supper. All spotless including the bathroom. Generous size with warm towels on the rack. Bruce gave detailed instructions for everything before I came which was a big help. Smooth as silk. All in all a great visit. Thank you so much.

About the host

I'm originally from London but have been visiting Whitstable for over 25 years and seen a lot of changes. It's great all year round - peaceful in the winter, bustling and lively in the summer, but you don't need to walk far to find a quiet spot even in the peak season.
Why they chose this property
There is nowhere quite like it. Lots of food and drink options and activities and of course the sunsets will leave you speechless
What makes this property unique
Island Wall is one of the most famous streets in the town, with a history stretching right back to the early days of the fishing industry. We think boats used to be built in the back garden many years ago and then towed out to sea - now it has a lawn and is a lovely garden where you can enjoy the sun!
