About this property
Coastal Manor Retreat - Luxury Cottages
At a glance
Central location in the bustling coastal village of Hamble Le Rice Watch the River Hamble flow by from the kitchen and bedrooms A very short walk to restaurants, pubs and shops, the marina and beach
About the property
This smart, Grade II-listed home, with its white-washed facade and large bay windows, is an excellent place for a family or friends to spend time by the coast. The same impressive period style continues inside with ornamental period fireplaces and chandeliers, while fixtures and furnishings are modern yet tastefully timeless. From the kitchen and most of the bedrooms you can also admire views towards the River Hamble estuary. The waterfront with its quay and marinas is just a few minutes' walk away, as are restaurants, pubs and bars.
The space
This beautiful, historic building incorporates period features, modern touches, a stylish colour scheme and luxurious fixtures and fittings.
Relax in the sitting room which has an ornamental period fireplace and sofa and armchair seating. Or gather together in the cosy, farmhouse kitchen which features exposed brick walls and a skylight customised with a sail from a boat. There's also an informal dining area and everything you will need to self-cater including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and dishwasher, plus an Alexa.
For more formal dining, there is a dining room with a dining table and chairs.
Patio doors lead outside to the front garden which is semi enclosed by a wall to ensure it feels secluded. There's a lawn, a seating area for dining alfresco and a hot tub.
When it comes to the sleeping arrangements, there are five bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed and an en-suite with a bath and a shower over. There are three bedrooms with a double bed. Two of these are zip and link so can be set up as two singles if preferred, plus have an en-suite bathroom. The fifth bedroom has a single bed.
There is also a main bathroom with a bath and shower attachment, plus a ground floor cloakroom with WC and basin.
On the first floor there is a study with a desk, chair and books if you need to catch up on work or want to lose yourself in a good read.
