This beautiful two bedroom ground floor apartment has full central heating, double-glazing, allocated car parking space and a closed circuit security system at the entrance. Free unlimited WiFi is available.

The kitchen is fully fitted and very well equipped with ceramic hobs, integrated microwave, electric oven, full size fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher etc.

There are two very comfortable bedrooms, one double room with a king sized bed, with an ensuite shower room with shower, WC and wash hand basin and one twin bedroom with two extra long single beds. Both rooms have fitted bedroom furniture: wardrobe and handy desk/drawer units with vanity stools. All beds have comfortable double layer mattresses.

The master bathroom is with WC, wash hand basin, bath with power shower over. One bath towel and one hand towel per person are provided.

The lounge has two settees, dining table and four chairs, Smart TV, DVD and CD players. The fireplace has an electric coal effect fire. There are French windows open onto a small patio area where there is a wooden table and four chairs, potted plants and fabulous views across the riverbank towards the fells beyond.

The apartment is conveniently situated a stones throw from Booth's supermarket (which has an electric car charging point) and the E-Venture shop for easy bike hire.

A little gem!

We've stayed at this lovely apartment several times and are never disappointed. The setting is perfect, it's always immaculate and provides everything we need for a comfortable stay. Being so close to the supermarket, bus stops and the town centre we rarely need to use the car, if at all. We can highly recommend this little gem.

Very good

We have stayed in several apartments in this area and this is one of the best. All ground floor with private terrace outside (which we couldn't use unfortunately as we had a very wet week in February!) The house was warm, the beds comfortable and the bathroom was very good. Hall space very useful for coats and boots. Comfort rated only 3 as the two settees were very soft and low (for three 80 year olds) and the booster cushions provided unfortunately didn't make them more comfortable. The lounge area was quite small but OK for two or three people. The location is very convenient for parking (not far from the door), food shops, EV charging, and the bus station, with a regular open top bus service along Borrowdale all through the winter!

Last minute stay at Keswick

Lovely location and nice accommodation. Everything as expected so no hidden surprises. Location is excellent and easy parking is a big bonus. Will definitely stay herd again

Another lovely week at Greta Bank

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Greta Bank. It's clean, comfortable, quiet and convenient for shops, center of Keswick, and excellent parking. We also appreciate its proximity to bus stops. It's a pleasure to come back to this holiday let. The 2 bathrooms suit my husband and myself as he needs a walk in shower, and I need a soak in a warm bath after walking the hills. Looking forward to another visit!

Definitely recommended

A great choice of accommodation for a stay in Keswick. Spacious, comfortable, very well-equipped and near to all amenities in Keswick. AND of course the benefit of a parking space. A quiet location with the benefit of the nearby river and wildlife. We particularly enjoyed the morning visits by the pheasants. Only one negative point, easily remedied. The taps in the bathroom handbasin had black gunge hanging off them and had to be cleaned before being used. The rest of the cottage was immaculate.

Easter break at Greta Bank

Great week in Keswick, lovely apartment, I would definitely stay here again! Location is perfect for Booths, eating in the town centre and accessing the lake. The apartment was well equipped, comfy beds and very clean throughout. We have stayed on this complex before and the apartment layout was by far the best. The large hallway made it feel spacious, and the patio area was great for fresh air and drying wetsuits.

We have stayed a this apartment a few times and it is very comfortable beautifully maintained. Having the small outside space with table and chairs is great. Would certainly stay again.

Another great stay

This was our second stay a Greta Bank. The flat was clean and had everything you need for a great stay. We traveled with my elderly mum this time and the flat is perfectly positioned for all that Keswick has to offer. The weather was good so it was an added bonus of being able to open the French doors and enjoy the small garden. The only tiny let down were the sofas.They are getting a little uncomfortable, so we were pleased when we found the bolster cushions that had been left.

Great property in perfect location.

Really nice flat which can accommodate 4 adults. Fully equipped kitchen and appliances. Couple of things need to be addressed such as broken kitchen tap, main bedroom blinds and window locks.

Good quiet spot very close to town

Quiet apartment tucked away and feels quite private but also very close to town. Well appointed, warm and comfortable with convenient private parking for one car. (Parking for extra cars relies on public car parks and they are expensive - worth exploring a monthly pass if you need an extra space for more than 2 days).

Lovely break

We have stayed here many times, the apartment has always been warm, comfortable, well presented and in a great location. The only reason for a couple of 4's in the review is: we think that the same sofa has been in place for quite some time and is becoming uncomfortable; and the apartment has an increasing number of scuff marks so seems ready for some re-decoration.

A great stay.

Greta Bank is in a good quiet central location,you can park and not drive for your whole break.It is clean,well presented and has all you might require.The one quibble is the electric en-suite shower though functional could really do with upgrading to provide some power. We have enjoyed two stays and hope to return, which in itself is recommendation. It is always a pleasure to deal with Keswick Cottages.

Quiet and central

This is the second time that we have stayed at Greta Bank. It is in a convenient location close to the bus station and Booths for shopping. It is useful for us that it is all on one floor, the ground floor so you don't have to carry your bags far. The apartment is very clean and well stocked with crockery and cutlery and feels spacious. It is very quiet even though it is centrally situated and the beds are comfortable. The one car parking space is very generous and easy to access even with a large car, we always leave the car parked up and use the buses. We also love feeding the birds that visit the garden. If we come back to Keswick, we will always choose this particular apartment.

Comments on Greta Bank

Absolutely super, immaculately maintained apartment. We had been once before and had no hesitation about going again. We went in early November both times, and found it warm, comfortable - especially the large bed! - and very well equipped. It is ideally situated, being very convenient for the town centre and only a few minutes walk to both the excellent Booth's supermarket and the bus station. While we were there the central heating boiler failed one day, which we reported right away, and in just over half an hour an engineer arrived to attend to it. Brilliant service from a friendly, helpful staff. As we have nothing to compare it to really, I am unable to comment usefully on the "value for money", I can only say that we are more than happy to pay it, as it seems reasonable for the quality of the accommodation provided. Needless to say, we hope to be able to go again!

A pleasant stay in Greta Bank.,

We, two old people and our middle-aged son, enjoyed staying in Greta Bank for a week very much. The sitting room was especially delightful - the decor pleasing and the view from the window of the birds in the garden superb. Our beds were very comfortable. We liked the new tablet in the hall that gave us greetings and messages as appropriate. Location was excellent. It was good being able to look out at countryside while also being able to walk to Booths supermarket in just a few minutes and into Keswick centre too in a short time.

Clean, roomy flat in a convenient location with parking.

Comfortable roomy ground floor flat really close to Booths, and handy for Keswick centre and the lake, but in a quiet development. Convenient parking space close to the flat. We visited in a heat wave, and the flat was beautifully cool. Loved the little patio with wildlife visiting for food and water, including pheasants, ducks, chaffinches and blackbirds. Had to watch out for bird muck though! Very comfy bed, and good facilities in the kitchen. 2 lovely shower/bath rooms. We would definitely stay here again.

Another lovely week at Greta Bank. Plenty visits from the local wildlife.

We have stayed in this property a number of times. One of its many advantages is the private parking space and the ease of access to shops and public transport. The kitchen, and indeed the whole property is well equipped and well maintained. If there are any problems the staff are very helpful. A useful addition this year were the booster cushions. Very handy for anyone with hip or knee problems.

Easter stay

We’ve stayed in Greta Bank many times before. We return as it is in a great location for local amenities and for walking. If you feed the birds, there are lots of pheasants, ducks, small garden birds and a tiny bank vole. The flat is warm, clean and comfortable. The allocated parking has improved since last time we were here! There was a small issue with the boiler, which Keswick Cottages resolved within the hour…great service. A lovely flat in a lovely town. We’ll be back.

Christmas in Keswick

We have stayed in Keswick Cottages properties many many times and in Greta Bank several times. All good. However the seating in the lounge is now a bit dated and not very comfortable, especially for older customers. The light over the sink in the en suite does not work. We did report this a couple of visits ago.

Great apartment near all amenities

Well decorated/maintained apartment with its own spacious parking space and within walking distance to the bus station and Booths supermaket. Very quiet bearing in mind how close it was to everything. Really comfortable bed/lounge area, kitchen a little small but with all facilities including welcome pack of tea/milk/biscuits and washing pack. Outside seating area quite small and had wooden table/chairs which were hard to keep dry so suggest changing to plastic.Great for watching the birds feeding on the wall so take some bird seed. We even had a male and two female partridges visit us within 3ft of where we were sitting inside the lounge. We would definately stay here again.

Greta Bank stay 19-26 April 2024

Excellent. Very convenient for supermarket and buses. Great views. Luxury to have 2 bathrooms. Hot water pressure to main bath low so needs adjusting. One light bulb in hallway flickered so we removed it and left a note. Perhaps spares could be left. Beds very comfortable but pillows all too soft; maybe a few firmer pillows would be good so people could choose. These are not criticisms, just possible slight improvements. We truly enjoyed it.
