A perfect spot to get away and unwind. Small and fully fitted with all you need.
Great walks from the door step.
Fab pub food and desserts to die for.
Good hosts, there but never imposing.
I do hope to return.
What a wonderful place to stay! The shepherd's hut was beautifully fitted out, really cosy with everything we needed for a few days away.
Charlotte was a great host, the little touches like the surprise shortbread and a chiminea ready to light were nice touches. We appreciated being able to use the utility room to ðry our wet gear. Would definitely recommend!
Highly recommend the 'apple tree hideaway' at the edge of Sellatyn. It is positioned looking across a small valley and the gentle sounds of water flowing helped bring a sense of peace for our weekend stay. The 'shepherd's hut' is a gem, it has a lovely clean, cosy interior, designed with care and practicalities catered for.
My highlight was the awesome panorama of stars at nightime looking over the tree lined horizon. Very many thanks J + I
We love this Shepherd;s hut at Appletree, this was our third stay here, the last of 2022. But we will certainly be back in 2023. We can recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful break staying in a lovely cosy hut that has everything you need, with fantastic private outside space. The area surrounding the hut is perfect for walking, with the Offas path easily accessible from the door, as well as lots of other lovely walks. The pub just down the road from the hut is also great and serves fantastic food. Charlotte is the perfect host. We can't say enough good things about this place, it is really special!
This is our second time staying at Apple Tree, it is fast becoming our happy place! The hut has it's own private garden which is so quiet and peaceful, we loved sitting around the chimnea of an evening sipping wine and star gazing. The hut itself is so cosy and has everything you need for a much needed break away from the rat race. Charlotte is the perfect host, on hand if we needed anything whilst also respectful of her guests privacy. We have already booked another stay next month!
Quirky, clean, private, homely, perfect for a couple to have some alone time. Surrounded by beautiful scenory away from the busy cities and able to enjoy old fashioned peace and quiet. Would deffo recommend this place
We were so impressed by Apple Tree shepherds hut. What a hidden gem of a place! From the moment we arrived Charlotte (and molly the collie) gave us a very warm welcome, and Charlotte was able to advise us on some fantastic local walks from the door, as we were keen to get out and about. The hut itself was so comfy and cosy, we had everything we needed. A big bonus for us was the private outside space, sitting by the chimnea at night looking up at the stars was just bliss! Quiet and peaceful area, with a great country pub just a few minutes walk away. It was just what we were looking for, we have already booked a return trip in December!
