Offering incredible open sea views from its spacious sun deck, the immaculate Villa Tanja lies 10m from the beach at Duće. Just 2km from Omiš on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast, this villa has an ideal location and excellent facilities too, including an outstanding 11m x 3m private pool.
This recently built beachfront property can accommodate up to 10 guests in four impressive en suite bedrooms. The eye-catching design makes great use of glass walls, letting natural light permeate the villa and making the most of panoramic views of the Adriatic.
The outdoor space includes a poolside sun deck with 8 loungers, as well as attractive dining and seating areas and a barbecue. The 33 sq m pool is heated and just steps away from a magnificent hot tub, which itself enjoys a direct view out to sea. You really couldn’t get closer to the beautiful sandy beach which is perfect for families.
Step inside and you’ll find a light and airy living area, complete with a dining table seating six, flatscreen TV and lounge area, and a superbly appointed kitchen with an island, large fridge freezer and all the appliances you may need. This area gives you direct access to the terrace, with the outdoor dining space just outside, as well as to an interior garden which in turn leads to a separate media room. Here you will find a TV, Netflix and a PS4.
You will be spending your nights in supreme comfort at Villa Tanja. Each of the four air-conditioned bedrooms is equipped with a sumptuous king-size bed, and has access to a terrace with seating and an en suite bathroom. With Omiš just a few minutes’ drive away, you will be able to enjoy as many of the town’s exciting sporting activities as you choose. Situated on the River Cetina, these include canoeing, canyoning, rafting and zip-lining. Omiš also offers some fine Old Town restaurants and mighty fortresses with stunning views of the region.
It’s easy to take a boat trip out to islands such as Brač, Šolta and Hvar, or to drive to Croatia’s second city, Split, home of Diocletian’s Palace, the Cathedral of St Domnius and many more noteworthy attractions – spectacular Villa Tanja makes the perfect base from which to discover it all.

Location:
A highlight of the Dalmatian Coast, Omiš is dramatic in many ways. Nowadays, its spectacularly rugged scenery sees visitors taking part in all kinds of thrilling activities, but it was once the home of pirates who ruled the waves of the Adriatic. You can get a taste of all these adventures during your stay, as well as discovering other elements of the town’s eventful history.
Backed by the craggy Dinara mountains, the picturesque Old Town of Omiš is just a short walk from the River Cetina on which much of the exhilarating sporting activity is centred. You will also find many excellent restaurants and charming cafés which warmly welcome visitors to their sunny terraces.
The town hosts various cultural events throughout the year, such as the summer’s Festival of Dalmatian Klapas, which brings this traditional form of Croatian music to the streets. Hearing the gentle harmonies of this unique style of singing reverberating around St Michael’s Square is not to be missed.
Omiš is also notable for its imposing fortresses, which offer wonderful views over the area – so long as you can handle the steep climbs necessary to reach them. The Mirabella fortress dates from the 13th century, while Starigrad is a more recent addition from the 15th century. The site of the Mila Gojsalič statue, around 5km from the centre of Omiš, is another landmark worth seeking out. Not only is the bronze statue (by famed Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović) impressive, it offers similarly amazing views to the fortresses.
Stories of Omiš’ infamous pirates have inspired all sorts of attractions and events. In summer, the town hosts weekly Pirate Night tours and a Pirate Weekend. Children will enjoy these, and also the sandy beach of Velika Plaza, which is close to the town.
The River Cetina is the centrepiece of Omiš, and it’s where a lot of the action happens. Choose your favourite activity from an extensive list that includes zip-lining, canyoning, rafting, canoeing and paragliding. The mountainous surroundings are also great for hiking, cycling and climbing, or you can take to the sea and cross to the beautiful nearby islands of Brač, Hvar and Šolta – each one is a gem, so be sure not to miss them.
Omiš is within a 35-minute drive of Croatia’s second city, Split. With the Cathedral of St Domnius, Diocletian’s Palace and many more beautiful buildings, it rivals Dubrovnik when it comes to historic sights. The Split Gallery of Fine Arts, the Archaeological Museum and the Meštrović Gallery give it cultural cred, while the green spaces of Marjan Forest Park and the region’s largest aquarium offer a chance to experience nature while in town.
