The house is 5 kilometres from excellent beaches and twenty minutes by car from the lively and atmospheric coastal resort of Collioure, famous as the home of the ‘Fauve’ movement of painters led by Picasso. Centre of Sorede and next door village of Laroque are both only a ten minute walk from the house with a good choice of village shops, bars and restaurants (3 listed in Gault Millau and Michelin guides). The area provides everything village life, the mountains and the beaches have to offer. This is ideal walking and cycling country, with year round sunshine, and typical Mediterranean night-life for teenagers just 15 minutes away on the coast.
The house has been recently furnished as a fresh, comfortable family retreat, sleeping eight with three bedrooms with twin beds and a mezzanine with two twin beds also; with TV/lounge area seating eight people, 2 bathrooms, fitted kitchen and an adjoining dining veranda with seating for ten. Wifi/Internet is connected.
Outside, there is a covered terrace for entertaining and dining for 10 people and a second open dining area with table and chairs for eight, Weber gas BBQ and a large private heated pool (10m x 4m), with sun decks, solar shower, parasol and loungers, all in a safe enclosed garden.
Ideal for families with young children as the property is completely enclosed and the pool is fitted with an electric safety cover.
