If you go down to the woods today, you’ll find a brand new, beautifully finished shepherd’s hut nestled into the greenery. Goosewing Hut is a warm, cosy retreat for two, immersed into the Norfolk woodland and its wildlife. Shepherd’s huts have existed on this land for centuries, accommodating the train builders of Melton Constable. Many train carriages can still be found in Goosewing’s neighbouring gardens, illustrating the local pride in its historical association with the railways. This magical handcrafted hut is surrounded by the best of East Anglia’s living things - from rich, green woodland to an array of animals, ranging from bats to badgers, and from falcons to foxes.
