Stay was amazing. Host was very responsive. Clean space! Only issue was the lock on the gate. It was difficult to get into. Other than than this living space deserves 4.8 stars! Would book again!

The host did not provide check in information in a timely manner and just kept insisting it was sent even when I pleaded with him to just provide it so we could get in. The listing implied it was in a great location and close to the beach. The neighborhood was not good at all and the house across the street appeared to be a drug house with cars pulling up throughout the night. In fact, on the way to the rental a completely naked woman was running through the street. The listing stated there was onsite parking, but there was not. You could park on the street if you could find a space and then because of the neighborhood, you had to worry about if it would still be there in the morning. I would not recommend this rental to anyone.

Mixed Feelings

This unit was really nice, however the neighborhood was in a rough neighborhood with nothing to do. I would have preferred to get the check in code a few hours earlier. I do not get it until just before check in time. Very clean and roomy.

House in San Juan

Its a small nice clean house. I only used house to sleep and shower. I felt house is not in the best neighborhood. Streets are super narrow i was always scared someone would hit rental car during the night. Neighbors do not have quiet hours lol (had super loud get gatherings well past midnight)

Excellent BUT…

Location was confusing, it did send me to Hato Rey instead of Santurce, please correct that error. The apartment is in EXCELLENT SHAPE BUT the water heater keeps changing from hot to cold in an instant making it IMPOSSIBLE to enjoy a shower.

Good house, not-so-great neighborhood

The unit was clean and nicely decorated, stocked with everything could need in the kitchen Photos showed a carport but we were told to park on the street, which was not always available in front of the unit, but we were able to park close by. The neighborhood felt a bit un-safe, there were some sketchy characters walking around. I would not have felt comfortable staying here alone. We felt safe once behind the locked gate, but driving the area at night was concerning (GPS wasn't helpful with the one-way, narrow, dark roads). Our biggest frustration was getting in and out of the neighborhood.

We had a huge delay due to the weather and other airline safety related issues that were out of our control. We arrived the next day as we were not able to cancel our reservation. We were accommodated by being allowed to stay an extend our stay by a day. The first day there was water in one of the rooms and bathroom from the rain. Then late realized the floors we not properly cleaned and wall in one of the bathrooms was peeling. Didn’t know that the washer and dryer require payment and there was a two burners portable stove. Had to leave towels and sheets in dryer as after $15, they were still damp. Neighbors seemed to be ok however was not comfortable walking in the neighborhood.

You Get What You Pay For

The house was located in a sketchy neighborhood. The house itself was nice and small. One of the bedrooms had a creepy door directly behind the bed that didn’t have a door knob on it. It was clearly locked from the opposite side. The house was extremely hot when we first got there. The ceiling fans were dirty and the couch is terrible. The host is not is friendly at all! She also claims to have sent check in instructions days before the arrival date and did not. She claims check in is at 4pm but has a sign up that says 3pm. Be prepared to fight with the lock box to get the keys to the house. It’s very difficult. Also please don’t look to the host to help you because she is not open to it. She also did not send the gate code until after 4pm! Also between the two rooms, only one room actually getting dark. As an overall, you get what you pay for. The house is small but decent for the amount you pay. Please be prepared to deal with the host which won’t be the best experience. Also don’t forget the creepy door directly at the head of the bed.

Good if you only need a place to sleep

The house was clean and the host was very responsive. There were a few cons...for me at least. First, checkin was at 4pm and the host did not send the code until almost 5pm....it was ok for me because we went to walmart after landing. The area is a little sketchy....not crazy but we would not walk outside the gate alone at night. There is also no assigned parking, just first come street parking. Spoke to the host and was told to park in front of the gates...but half the time there was not enough room because of the neighbors cars so had to park sometimes a block or two away. (FYI house is on a one way street but GPS takes you the wong way down) Couch is not fit for sleeping or sitting on at all. We had to purchase an air mattress.Dining room table and chairs could use updating as well, felt like chairs would break everytime we sat. Also, pay attention to the pics...the kitchen is tiny and does not have a stove/oven just a hot plate and an air fryer. You also have to pay to use the washer and dryer. Overall if you just need a place to sleep it is a good deal, Isla Verde and Carolina Beach is a 10 minute drive, T Mobile is less than that and so is La Placita....Walmart and walgreens are 5 minutes away and plenty of good food places around.

This experience was good. We walked everywhere while we were here. The owners gave specific instructions and was there to help anytime we called. Response time is faster when request are sent in Spanish. Everything was in good working order and we had a great stay here.
