We had a lovely time. The cottage is in an idyllic setting and the hosts made us feel very welcome. Cottage has everything you might need for a wonderful stay in the English countryside- cozy, comfortable, well equipped and with lots of things to do nearby.
The cottage is a lovely property to stay in and the hosts are very welcoming. It is a beautiful, charcterful cottage, that is well positioned for country and canalside walks. The town of Braunston itself is also full of interesting historical aspects. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back again.
We stayed over a weekend with friends and owners kindly offered early check in and were very attentive to any needs.
This was the best equipped vrbo we have ever stayed in. We were in want of nothing. Both bedrooms having ensuites a real plus. Walks and pubs easily accessible but we loved the cottage, so just stayed in. It was minus degrees outside but was warm and cosy. Tastefully decorated with soft furnishings to make you feel like you are at home. Can't recommend enough!

Angie, It was a pleasure having you all to stay and thanks for the lovely review. Hopefully see you again sometime - you're always most welcome. Gerry
Cottage had all the required facilities and a great history. Well maintained and clean throughout. Centrally placed for all local amenities. Hosts communications were great. We saw the peregrine falcon on the nearby church steeple many times. We highly recommend this cottage.

My wife Fiona and myself purchased the 17th century Braunston Manor around 14 years ago and we have spent the time since renovating and converting what was a boutique hotel into a family home. A couple of years ago we converted the cottage into an Airbnb providing modern facilities whilst retaining as many of the historic features as we could. It’s been a new venture for us, but it’s been lovely meeting so many diverse visitors from all over the world and all have given us top reviews via the various outlets that we advertise on and many have visited more than once, which has been a lovely vote of confidence for what we have done.
Why they chose this property
Braunston village is known as the heart of the English canals, as it’s at the junction of two of the main canals in the uk. Because of this, there are many old canal buildings that provide a backdrop for local walks along the canal towpaths and the countryside, stopping at canal side pubs for refreshments along the way ! Further afield, the village is centrally placed in the midlands for visiting tourist attractions such as Stratford upon Avon, Warwick castle, Althorp, the Cotswolds, Silverstone and many other places to visit within an hour’s drive. In addition, there is a mainline railway station at Rugby (5 miles away) that links directly to London within 55mins
What makes this property unique
A combination of modern living within a historic 17th century building. Both bedrooms have en-suites and double four poster beds, giving both privacy and luxury. Within walking distance are four pubs, giving a choice of places to eat and drink, whilst there is also a shop, butchers and other facilities, meaning that you can be self-sufficient in the village, if you want to be, or use it as a base to explore the many attractions within the English Midlands
