Lovely area, house is huge, great space for friends and family, beautiful grounds, everything you would want for your stay, bonus was the swimming pool and area, lovely relaxing with friends.Beds pillows and duvets are so comfortable like sleeping on clouds. Louise the host was just lovely, along with Bentley the dog, loves to play No TV or Radio only TV in one of the bedrooms, but we were happy and was so nice to sit round kitchen table chatting and playing cards.
We (six adults and three small kids) enjoyed a fantastic stay at the cottage. Good amenities in the cottage, ample space for sleeping, playing and eating and great surroundings. An ideal place for a family outing.
Had everything we needed for a lovely long weekend celebrating our Mother’s 95th birthday. Having downstairs bedrooms was a great help for her too. Had a nice refreshing dip in the large pool. Enjoyed sitting in the sun in the pretty garden. Louise was very friendly and always available if we needed anything.
We were a family having a weekend get together for a birthday celebration. Stable Lodge was the perfect place for us. The accommodation is rambling and spacious. Well equipped and comfortably furnished. The swimming pool is the jewel in the crown! We wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Louise is a great host and made our stay perfect.
We stayed at Stable Lodge for a family Christmas gathering, and it suited us perfectly. The kitchen was very spacious and perfect for preparing the Christmas dinner together. The lounge was comfortable and cosy, and the layout of the bedrooms was ideal with the downstairs bedroom and bathroom, and three double/twin rooms upstairs, all of which were comfortable too.The garden was also great for our dog to have a safe run around, and there was ample parking.Louise also left us a lovely card, some home made mince pies, a bottle of wine and some supplies in the fridge, all of which were very thoughtful and generous. All in all we had a lovely and very memorable stay.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. And very many thanks for leaving the place so clean and tidy. Hope you want to visit again. Happy New Year.
Wow we had such a wonderful stay here, Louise was so friendly, relaxed and we felt so welcomed and right at home as soon as we arrived. Each couple had their own light and bright bedroom with a bathroom all to themselves. We all slept so soundly and woke to blue skies and birds. Things we got up to ..relaxing in the garden, BBQs by the pool, group breakfasts in the kitchen, cosy times in the living room and a lovely walk across the fields. We really couldn't rate this stay high enough and hope to stay again in the future :) Also a quick mention of the Doggy & Cat who roamed around and added to the feeling of being at home.
My husband and I had a wonderful few days in this wonderful property, made all the better by Louise’s warm hospitality. We’d booked before my husband started using a wheelchair, and although it was a little tricky getting through one doorway and into the kitchen, Louise arranged for the downstairs twin bedroom to be turned into a superking bed which made things so much easier for us. The house is incredibly well equipped, clean, and the beds comfortable. The garden and pool was the real highlight. It’s a huge garden that would be wonderful for kids. We had some friends join us for the sunny last couple of days and we enjoyed the solar heated pool and even had dinner in the pool house. Overall a great experience.
I book a long weekend in Canterbury each summer to visit friends in the area and usually spend ages finding a suitable property. Next year I won't even look - I'll go back to Stable Lodge. The property is comfortable, very spacious, had all the essentials and some extras thrown in for good measure. The garden is huge with lots of very comfortable garden furniture. The icing on the cake is the wonderful swimming pool and pool house. We were very lucky with the weather and spent many hours at or in the pool. Louise, the owner, is wonderful! From the first time I emailed her with questions to the time we said goodbye this morning, she was friendly, efficient, accommodating and more than happy to 'go the extra mile' to help whenever she could. Thank you Louise. We would have had a wonderful time in your lovely property anyway, but you made it so much better for us. Last word must go to Bentley, Louise's dog. He was so friendly and intelligent, and adopted one of our party as his new playmate! :-)
Lovely spacious property, full of character and charm. In a very peaceful, pretty location a short drive from Canterbury. The pool was amazing, and the massive, well kept garden was appreciated by all. Louise was very helpful and a great host. We can’t wait to return.
