Welcome to Serenity by the Sea, Side B! (Rent both sides to accommodate your family reunion! See VRBO#2455497) Located less than a mile from the popular pier in Surf City, our newly updated, 4 bedroom OCEANFRONT home is the perfect place for your next family getaway! This house has enough room for everyone with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. Wake up to the sound of the waves. Forget dragging all your beach gear every day since you can just step outside onto your balcony and walk down the stairs to the beach.

There isn't any need to bring a thing! This house comes fully equipped with a kitchen full of everything you need to prepare meals and memories. There are 4 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 10 people (1 king size bed, 2 queen size beds, and 1 Bunk Bed with full size beds for a total of 5 beds in 4 rooms) and 3 full baths as well as a heated outdoor shower. The home has Wi-Fi, 3 televisions with cable and one of those TV's has smart technology for Netflix access. We have a booster seat as well as bedrails, games and toys for the kids, beach toys, and chairs for your use.

Surf City was recently named one of the top ten best small town beaches and is perfect for those looking for less of a commercial feel and more of the perfect family vacation to remember.

Linens are NOT included in your stay, but you can bring your own or contact Sweet Dreams Linen Service on the island!

When you stay here, you'll feel the warmth our family put into making this a place for other families to enjoy and make memories! We can't wait to have you at Serenity by the Sea!

Everything about this one was good- the house was great, the beds were all awesome- same with bathrooms, kitchen, etc. Views from the top deck of the house over the ocean were really great. 3 adults + 3 kids and we had plenty of extra space! Wonderful spot!

The beach house was clean, comfortable and fresh in appearance. We had all the amenities we needed. We used the concierge service and had a massage therapist come to us. She was amazing.

Great location with excellent ocean views. Walk down your own boardwalk/beach access and you are standing in the sand. Very clean and excellent communication. Fit our family of 5 with 3 kids perfectly. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely home, wonderful views

This homeowner truly made us feel as if we were friends and family rather than renters. She not only called to check that everything was satisfactory when we checked in, but had a lovely gift bag waiting for us. The home itself has been recently renovated and was immaculate. Perfect for two grandparents, their son and daughter in law and 3 beautiful granddaughters. We hope to come again.

Home away from home

We absolutely LOVE Serenity by the Sea. This is the second time we have stayed st this property. Both times the week of our wedding anniversary. This year we were celebrating our tenth. Upon arrival we were met with sweet notes and goodies for us grownups (bottle of bubbly) and kids. It is always such a wonderful experience and feels so much like home to us. We will continue to visit as long as we are able.

Nice oceanfront home

The location of this home was great. Right in front of the ocean, very convenient! However there were quite a few pests in the home during our stay. That was a bit unpleasant for us. Overall, Catherine was very helpful with leaving a binder of suggestions of places to eat and go. She even left a nice welcome gift for us. She was also very attentive and made sure our check-in and check-out went smoothly.

Amazing Vacation

My friends and I went for the weekend and were thrilled with both the place and the owner. Friendly and helpful, Catherine was wonderful. She answered questions and gave us all the info we needed in a timely manner. When we arrived she made us feel like cherished friends instead of merely weekend renters. I would whole-heartedly recommend staying here. We certainly will every time!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!

A beautiful home right on the ocean

The owner was so kind and responded quickly to our messages. Check in was super easy. There was a problem with the coffee maker and the issue was resolved in less than an hour! We really felt welcome and like they hoped we would love their home/location as much as they do. And of course we did! The best parts of the home are the deck overlooking the ocean, the beach right outside the door, the spacious living area and the attentive owners. Basically everything. 😊 The home was beautiful and comfortable with plenty of space for our family. The location was convenient and they had a book with things to do in the area but we primarily started at the house and the beach. We recommend this home and these kind owners wholeheartedly! Thank you for a fantastic stay!! (We rented linens from sweet dreams linen. They were great too.)

Great property!

My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at this house. It's the perfect location in Surf City: close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants, but far enough that the beach isn't crowded. The kitchen is fully stocked, and we appreciated that a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap was included. We especially enjoyed spending time on the deck overlooking the ocean. The owner was quick to respond to my questions, and the check-in process was a breeze. Thank you for a great stay!

The perfect spot.

This was exactly the beach house we hoped it would be. It was clean, had every item we needed already there, and because the living area is on the 2nd floor, gave the best view of the ocean. We will be renting here again.

Wonderful experience

The location was amazing, the little toiletries/condiments/ beach gear etc that the house provided for us was a huge help and very thoughtful! Only needed to contact the owners one time with a small issue and it was solved in less than an hour. Catherine (the owner) went out of her way to message me and make sure our stay was going well, basically, she is AMAZING! The location is perfect, a very short walk, down the steps, to the beach and very close to all the shops and restaurants!

Beach Lover's Dream

Wonderful beach front property. Everything needed for a relaxing week away from the rat race. Plenty of space for everyone, (there were 9 of us), plenty of parking for 4 vehicles. Loved the covered deck so could feel the sea breeze without being directly in the sun. Owner was responsive but not intrusive! Clean and family friendly. Would definitely rent again.

Just Beachy!

We had an amazing week! The house was clean and had all amenities needed for our stay. We loved having the outdoor seating areas on both decks to enjoy the ocean views when we weren’t on the beach. We had our 7yr old and twin 2yr old boys with us and they loved all the toys and boogie boards available to use. Also the other side of the house was rented out and we were nervous about it being too loud but had no issues! The outdoor shower was great for cleaning off our little ones too! Cheryl was amazing our entire stay. She responded so quickly to the few questions we had during our stay!

Perfect family getaway

We absolutely loved this place. Great distance from Surf City proper. There were two nice beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys, and an umbrella available to use which saves room when traveling. House was clean and the kitchen was very useful. We were happy to see a Nespresso machine there and didn’t need to bring ours, just the pods! Would love to rent this house again next year!

Serenity by the Sea was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway! When not on the beach, we were enjoying the view from the deck. The home had everything you would need - and then some. The owner was amazing. Highly recommended!

We will be back!

We needed an adult best-friend get-away. The house was clean, calming and had beautiful views. The porch had plenty of comfortable seating and we spent most of our time out there chatting. It couldn’t have been more perfect!

Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful vacation at the beach. The home is a duplex, but we had complete privacy and a private entrance to the beach. We loved that the house had multiple levels; the upper balcony was great for dolphin watching. We also loved that each level had direct access to the beach. The beach was literal steps from the home and was exactly what we wanted. The house was very clean and spacious; we traveled with a party of 3, but could easily see ourselves coming back with additional family or friends one day. The location was perfect. We have stayed all along Topsail Island over the years, but this location was in Surf City, which allowed us to be close to restaurants for take-out but still have plenty of room on the beach. The owners were responsive and attentive, checking in on us right after check-in and right after check-out to make sure we had everything that we need and that we had a great time. They added many small touches that were unique: a Thank You card, a gift of snacks, and a gift certificate for a dozen donuts at a local bakery. I have stayed at many VRBO locations and was impressed at the thoughtfulness. We hope to be back soon! In the meantime, we highly recommend this property.
