About this property

Edelweiss | East Ruston Cottages

INSIDE

Living room
Very light and white and spacious with engineered laminate floor throughout - easy to clean and not too slippery for paws. There is a large leather sofa and footstool and whilst the idea of a large white leather sofa might worry some dog owners, this has been specifically chosen for its easy clean (wipeable) surface. (Tracie and Neil who own the house have dogs of their own and lots of experience so they do know what dog owners need). Dogs are welcome to join you on it as long as you can bring your own throws with you. The flat screen TV has Sky and there is good wifi here.

Kitchen
Very well fitted with enough seating for 4. There is everything you need here - washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, fridge, freezer with enough room for raw food supplies - don't forget our local Raw Dog Food Company deliver to all our properties for free. To cook on there is a hob and oven plus microwave, kettle and toaster and a filtered water tap too.

Ensuite bedroom
King size bed with plenty of storage and hanging space and another tv with Freeview for bedtime viewing. The ensuite bathroom has a bath with a shower over it plus a toilet, sink and bidet too.

OUTSIDE
When you arrive, pull in through the large metal (electric) gates and onto the gravel parking in front of the annexe. The main house is to the right and the annexe is in front of you. Parking is in front of the pallisade fencing. The courtyard area here is the outside area for the annexe. Astroturf grass means no muddy paws and there is a hose outside too for washing it down. The bbq is a really neat one with a detachable top so you can take it over to the table and chairs outside (seats 4). There are even a couple of loungers, a parasol and beach chairs for sitting out and enjoying the sunshine!

A great place for a getaway break
We had a short week away before Easter, and the Edelweiss was ideal for the two of us and our 3 dogs. The owners live in the attached property and were fantastic, friendly, chatty and I’m sure had there been any issues, they would have resolved them straight away. It’s a lovely location and probably be even better in the summer months. The welcome pack waiting for us was unexpected and such a great thing for them to do. As it was my birthday during our stay, there was a bottle of wine to go along with the milk, bread, butter, chocolates, cookies, eggs and dog treats (think there was a couple more bits I may have forgotten). The test is always, would we stay there again… and yes, we definitely would.

Another fab stay
Yet another wonderful stay at Edelweiss. I think this was our 3rd or 4th stay and every time has been perfect. It's ideally situated and close to our favourites beaches, pubs, restaurants and walks. Tracie is a lovely host and was great in providing a large crate, at short notice, for a dog on veterinary instructed bed rest! We walked miles on this holiday but came back very rested! The dogs loved their treats left for them and really enjoyed their stay. We definitely hope to return.

Perfect place for us and our two dogs
We enjoyed a lovely week at Edelweiss - easy to get to nice local beaches for dog walks and other visitor attractions in the wider area. Accommodation was comfortable and just right for us and our two dogs. Great to have enclosed outdoor space and off road parking. Well looked after by Tracie who made us very welcome and checked we were comfortable.
