Beech Cottage, a beautiful, semi-detached cottage, offers a quiet location on the edge of Ashbourne. With a comfortable, homely feeling you are sure to enjoy your time spent here. There are multiple points around the house where the sun beams through the windows that you can relax by reading a book from cover to cover or planning your exciting days ahead. The property has a beautiful garden with driveway for two cars (no EV charging allowed), a lawned area and patio with furniture as well as a summer house. Inside on the ground floor the kitchen which has a beautiful bay window by the dining table where breakfast can be enjoyed, the kitchen has all the equipment and appliances you should need for the duration of your stay including a Sandyford range.

A generously sized sitting room offers comfortable sofas with plenty of room for all five guests, large Smart TV, electric wood burner-effect fire and patio doors opening onto the manicured garden. There is also a downstairs toilet and utility space with back door access, through a boot room. There is a more formal dining room with stairs taking you to the first floor. On the first floor are three bedrooms made up of a master king bedroom with en-suite shower room, a double and single, each bedroom is spacious with ample wardrobe space and fantastic views, there is also a family bathroom with shower over bath.

The location of this cottage is a walker’s paradise, you can trek for as little or as long as you wish, enjoy a hearty pub lunch within a 10 minute drive and know you are returning to a comfortable and cosy home come the end of the day. If you are an adrenaline junkie, then head to Alton Towers theme park which is under 10 miles away also offering a water park. Venture into the town of Ashbourne which is full of independent shops, cafés, and other eateries to be enjoyed. From Ashbourne you can hop on the Tissington trail which is a great stretch for walking or cycling or take a visit to the Dovedale Steppingstones.

There is a clay pigeon shoot at Doveridge which is only a 10-minute drive away. Doveridge Church is also famous for allegedly being where Robin Hood got married under the Yew tree.

Horse racing, ice skating, bowling & a cinema is all available at Uttoxeter which is a 15-minute drive away. Fishing is available locally & there are several Golf courses within a 20-minute drive.

The National Trust has several properties locally, 5 minutes away in Sudbury village is Sudbury Hall Museum of childhood & another notable one is Calke Abbey to name but a few.
