Grew up on Clydeside, dad a shipbuilder and visited Helensburgh as a toddle. After 26 years in the City of London returned to my passion, Wester Millig House. We spent years restoring this stunning Victorian Gothic Villa and can now share a piece of that experience
Why they chose this property
William Leiper mastered his prolific architectural craft in Victorian Gothic and latterly Art and Craft designs. Helensburgh is awash with famous architecture include Mackintosh's Hill House. Virtual next door to his own home, Terpersie he build Wester Millig House in 1870 introducing world famous glass artist Daniel Cottier who completed the stunning hand painted windows. Millig was the Royal Institute of Architecture in Scotland featured 'architecture of the home' in 2017.

Wester Millig House and its grounds are stunning all year round. What restoration was required is loyal to its "listed' heritage. Guests will experience the unique ambience of Victorian Gothic living in a private apartment complemented by a few contemporary luxuries such as free Wifi, glorious walk in shower, living gas fire and flat screen TV/DVD. The property if private, highly secure with extensive parking for any vehicle.
