Your opportunity to rent a beautiful cabin in Yosemite National Park in the quaint town of Wawona awaits. This comfortable family friend home situated 5 miles from Yosemite's South Gate will welcome you with the warmth of wood accents, large windows providing forest views, a large updated kitchen that opens into a dining and living space and thoughtfully well-spaced bedrooms including a master bedroom with en suite bath and a kids room with bunk beds. More than 1000 sq ft of decking provides ample space to relax outdoors in the summer or to build a snowman in the winter. Enjoy a hike to the river or Chilnualna Falls; visit the Wawona library and historic pioneer town, have dinner at the nearby Big Trees hotel and golf course. Being insideYosemite National Park, you have so much more to enjoy -- The Valley Floor, Glacier Point (within 45 minutes drive), Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area (within 30-35 minutes drive), and Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias (reopening 2017).



The first bedroom has a queen bed. The second room has a twin over twin and a twin over full futon bunk bed, there is a TV with Direct TV satellite and a DVD player. The master bedroom has a king bed and its own private bathroom. The living room hosts a large LED TV with Direct TV. Enjoy a BBQ on the large deck, we provide the propane. This home has wifi and long distance calling in the continental US so you can stay connected on your trip. There is a convenience store walking distance from the home where you can pick up any last minute items you may have missed. Centrally located and full of family amenities, The Bruins Den is the perfect place for your family getaway.

Beautiful QUIET location. NO CROUDS! Yosemite Valley was stunning. Mariposa Grove of giant Sequoias was only 2 miles away and was absolutely beautiful. Great family plce to stay. Loved the seclusion.

Sweet house in a convenient location

This is the best house I've stayed since I used Homeaway app. Very sweet house. lots of utensils, pots and pans. There's a grocery store just a few minutes walk. The only downside for us was the master bedroom was a bit too chilly. It'd be perfect for summer tho. We would definitely come back here for our next Yosemite trip.

Pros:1. The home was very clean.2. The location is inside the park.Cons:1. The teak outdoor dining set is not well maintained and needs to be sanded.2. The home has does not have air conditioning (this really should be listed in the description). Additionally, the home has very poor air circulation and a small amount of working windows.3. The patio door in the master bedroom does not have a screen.With all provided fans running and windows open, the inside temps stayed above 85 degrees well into the night and early morning hours.

My family enjoyed staying at the Bruin's Den. It was a cozy home that suited us just right. The boys loved to hang out in the window nook. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed. I would recommend this home.
