East Beach - spacious home, beautiful marsh views, pool, 2 blocks from the beach

Come to Sunset Peak and experience this modern, well planned, unique, family friendly home just a short walk to one of the best beaches on Saint Simons Island where you have space to be together with the people you are vacationing with but also room to spread out and retreat.

This home has been on the vacation rental market since being built in 2018 with a 4.9 rating (33 reviews) on vrbo under different management. The property is now owner managed with a local co-host on hand to assist with any problems. Because we are required to establish a new listing, we currently do not yet have any reviews shown here.

Sunset Peak was designed as a vacation home to host groups of friends and family, in particular multi-generational ones. There are generous communal spaces to gather and eat (both indoors and out) including three TV areas and three unique porches.

The five bedrooms are all spacious with ample room to store belongings and ensuite bathrooms for privacy and convenience. The principal bedroom is on the main level, plus three on the second floor and an additional bedroom in the apartment above the attached garage. There is also a powder room off the open plan living area.

The main level offers a spacious open-plan arrangement. The well-stocked kitchen has an island and separate breakfast bar. Appliances include a gas cooktop, two ovens, two dishwashers, a large refrigerator, separate freezer, wine fridge and ice-maker. The round dining table seats 10 comfortably with three extra seats via bar stools on the peninsula just behind the table. The living room has three sofas, two arm chairs and two stools providing space for everyone to be together.

The downstairs master bedroom is generous with a king bed, large walk-in closet as well as a proper desk. The master bath features a walk-in shower, soaking tub, double sinks and separate toilet.

Off the main living area is a screened in back porch with fireplace, dining table and glider for reading, relaxing, or catching up with friends. Between the main house and the garage apartment is the utility room with a large washing machine, tumble dryer and cleaver drying racks.

Upstairs you will find a roomy bunk room with two twin beds above a queen bed and en-suite bath with large walk-in shower. The bedroom overlooking the marsh has two queen beds, an en-suite bath with double sinks, tub, and shower. The upstairs master also has a view of the marsh, a king size bed and en-suite bath with double sinks and a walk-in shower.

In addition to the bedrooms, upstairs there is also a living room with a smart TV, games, puzzles and books. Directly off of this is a covered porch with comfortable furniture to relax and enjoy bird watching and sunsets over the ever-changing marsh.

Above the attached garage you will find a guest suite featuring a bedroom with two twin beds, a bathroom with shower, a separate living/dining room and kitchenette.

Outside is a private saltwater pool which can be heated with the additional fee (see below for details). Around the pool there are four lounge chairs plus more deck chairs with ottomans for relaxing and umbrellas for shade. In the far corner is a fire pit where kids big and small can enjoy roasting marshmallows. Between the screened porch and pool there is a gas grill and at the entrance to the pool from the alley is an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a fun day at beach and before taking a dip in the pool.

There is an indoor/outdoor surround sound system that can be connected to your devices through your music apps.

A starter supply of products includes:
1 roll of paper towels in kitchen and kitchenette

Dishwashing soap in dispenser
Laundry liquid (please do not use pods)

In each bathroom:
2 rolls of toilet paper
Hand soap in dispensers
1 set of toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion)

Heated Pool:
If you would like the private pool (approx. 26' x 15'6") heated during your stay, the cost is $50/night and can be requested up to 48 hours before arrival.
