We've just had a lovely stay in this beautiful property. It has plenty of space and is very well equipped with two excellent outdoor spaces to enjoy. The property owner is very helpful and prompt at replying to emails. Would highly recommend.
The property is immaculate and very well maintained There is more than adequate kitchen equipment
Wifi worked
In easy reach of shops,Coast and other places of interest Will be staying again
This cottage is comfortable, spacious & well equipped with very nice outside seating areas & plenty of space for parking. It is a walkable distance from Needham Market where there are several places to eat as well as a train station which makes access to Ipswich very easy. Stowmarket is a short distance away in the car for shopping. There was slightly more noise from the road than we expected but it didn't disturb us too much.
Property is spacious, well maintained and attractive with plenty space for parking and a lovely garden. Kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed along with good sized fridge and freezer and a dishwasher. Beds are really comfortable. Perfect for our stay.
The property is ideally situated, close to beautiful countryside and the pleasant town of Needham Market. The accommodation is to a very high standard and the owner was most helpful.in an unobtrusive way.
The cost of our stay represented good value for money
We had a wonderful relaxing stay in this beautiful large well equipped cottage. Bury St Edmunds just down the road. Needham a lovely village with a variety off shops and Paul the host very helpful would highly recommend.
Very nice, well appointed house. Just the two of us were very pleased with the tasteful interior and well laid out gardens. Couldn’t think of anything in the inventory that had been missed. A good place to be and situated well for trips & excursions.
We had a really comfortable stay at Doves Barn cottage. The cottage is spacious very clean and well equipped for a short or long stay. Lots of things provided that weren’t expected, lots of kitchen equipment,a washing machine, two lovely little gardens. It was very kind of the owner to leave us milk and other items. Although we brought our own dishwasher/washing machine tabs and washing up liquid it was unnecessary. The location is absolutely ideal for visiting Suffolk. Lavenham,Bury St Edmund, Sutton Hoo, Kersey are all very close by. We may very well stay again in the future but if you choose the cottage you will not be disappointed. If I have to state a negative it is purely an opinion, we were not enamoured with all the dried grasses and I personally found the pillows uncomfortable, my own fault though I should have brought my own. All in all ten out of ten.
Second time we have stayed in one of Pauls accommodations in Needham Market. Needless to say, we love the area and the cottages. The cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable. We were blessed with good weather so it was a bonus to have a secluded place to sit at the side of the cottage that was a bit of a sun trap. Lovely.
good, clean, well located, handy for Felixstowe, ipswich, stowmarket and surrounding areas, slight traffic from the odd boy racers seeing how fast 0 to a speeding ban if you walk in to needham market , but nothing to detract from a great stay
What a wonderful Easter Weekend break and this comfortable spacious property. Just down the road from Bury St Edmunds. Relaxing bonus television in bedroom could not have ask for more. Will definitely be back.
The cottage was great functional, comfortable and clean. An ideal location with excellent communication with the owner. Would highly recommend Dove Barn Cottage to anyone visiting this area
Lovely cottage, equipped and furnished to very high standard, gardens beautifully presented and outside furniture great. Everything very cleaned and well maintained. Easy walk to all the village facilities, great pubs.
Only negative - beds very hard and really not very comfortable at all
We are a family of 4 (Dad, Mum + 2 teenage girls) and we had a lovely week’s stay at Doves Barn Cottage.
Paul Rozier, the owner / manager, was very friendly and welcoming, and came to greet us shortly after we arrived. He reiterated the point that, if we needed anything, we were just to give him a call.
The cottage is spacious, clean, tidy and had well-looked-after gardens to the front and back with great outdoor furniture. We think it looks better in real life than in the online pictures.
The cottage, although neighbouring one other (also owned by Paul Rozier), was very private and secluded. Nearby there was a small market town (Needham Market) which had a few shops, cafés and pubs.
There was a ‘book’ / manual available in the cottage, with details of everything you needed to know (how the kitchen appliances work, nearest hospitals, etc.).
The kitchen was stocked with plenty of plates, cups and cutlery. The provision of tea, coffee and sugar was a welcome treat!
Clean bath towels were provided for each guest.
The Wi-Fi was amazing, with a strong signal both inside and outside the cottage.
On a small point, if we were to suggest any changes, it would be to add some more hooks in the bathroom and maybe upgrade to comfier beds (however, this could be just personal preference!).
All in all, we had a great stay and would strongly recommend Doves Barn Cottage to others. It was very good value for money.
