Very nice stay at Gosier

This condo was just what we were looking for and made our recent two-week stay in Guadeloupe very enjoyable. It is precisely as described on the VRBO website. The condo has a wonderful view of the harbor and the mountains beyond it. We started each day with coffee and croissants on the balcony.We experienced beautiful sunsets from that same balcony every evening. Mr. Henri, the owner, was considerate enough to meet us at the airport upon arrival, escort us to the condo, and then get us back to the airport when we left.

Well Positioned

My husband and I, our children (18 & 6 year old children) and a friend stayed at this apartment for 6 nights. It is well positioned in the middle of the island so it's easy to get to both sides of the island. The apartment is exactly as pictured and has a wonderful view of the valley below and sea. Very quiet complex. Good sized sitting area and balcony. A few minor fixes could help (i.e. faucet in bathroom is loose, as is the shower-head holder) - but nothing major. We only cooked simple meals while there (mostly breakfasts) - but the kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable, and the AC in the bedrooms worked well. Chairs to use to sit by the pool would be a nice addition. I echo many previous reviews about the owner M. Henri who was very responsive, and also met us at the airport and lead us to the apartment. Would definitely recommend the apartment to others, and should I be fortunate enough to return to Guadeloupe, would stay again.

Great vacation, great apartment!

What a great vacation! Guadeloupe is beautiful and Didier is a very gracious host! He picked us up from the airport and to make sure we are avoiding the traffic on our way back he had us follow his car all the way to the airport. The apartment is in a great location, close driving distance to the beach, great bakeries and lots of other beautiful places the island has to offer! Thank you Didier for a great stay!

APPARTEMENT TRES AGREABLE

Ayant séjourné pendant 3 semaines, nous avons pleinement apprécié le confort de cet appartement ainsi que l'accueil et la disponibilité de son propriétaire. Cet appartement situé au 1er étage est spacieux (avec 2 vraies chambres et 1 grand séjour avec cuisine ouverte) bien orienté, avec un grand balcon bien protégé des regards des voisins permettant de prendre tous les repas avec vu sur la Souffrière et Basse-Terre sans vis à vis. Il est bien équipé et dispose de suffisamment de linge pour un long séjour. Je recommande très vivement ce lieu de séjour situé en dehors de Gosier centre (une voiture est indispensable) mais en revanche très calme.

Nous avons passé de bonnes vacances. Très bon accueil du propriétaire. L'appartement est mieux que sur les photos qui ne rendent pas tout à fait compte de la surface réelle. Terrasse agréable pour les repas. Pas de moustiques. Belle résidence au calme et non loin des commerces en voiture. A louer sans hésiter.

Très bien!

Nous avons séjourné un mois dans cet appartement et l'avons bien apprécié. Il est tout à fait identique aux photos de l'annonce. Il est propre et bien situé pour se déplacer, mais attention à la pente très abrupte pour s'y rendre. Il offre tout le confort nécessaire, avec en prime le téléphone et les appels outre-mer gratuits pour la France et le Québec! L'environnement est très calme et les lieux sont très bien entretenus. M. Henri était présent à notre arrivée comme prévu et à l'heure dite pour notre départ. Il est fiable et laisse ses coordonnées pour le joindre en tout temps. Enfin, avec le balcon et la vue qu'il offre, on ne peut rien demander de plus!

Fantastic Week in Central Apartment!

Didier Henri was a wonderful host- he met myself, my best friend and my sister (three young American women in their 20's who do not speak a lick of French) at the airport and led us to the apartment! Super informative, friendly and available. He told warned us about driving on the island, showed us nearby delicious restaurants and overall was a fantastic ally to have in Guadeloupe. The apartment was perfectly equipped with the basics, the view was incredible and pool was great for days that had on and off days of rain. Never felt unsafe considering traveling as young women and did not know much about Guadeloupe until our arrival. I suggest St-Anne beaches, Pointe du Chavuex, Plage de la Chappelle, and la Souffrie(the volcano) in Basse-Terre! Overall, driving was easy as signage on the island is great, we relied on signs and paper maps to get around, no GPS (pretty big deal for millennials)! Le Ti Maki and Coco Kafe are wonderful restaurants less than 10 mins from the apartment. Picked up some handy French within our week stay- Merci Didier Henri!!!!!

Superbes vacances en famille.

L'appartement est spacieux et propre. Bien situé au sein de la Guadeloupe, nous avons pu visiter Grande terre et Basse terre. L'accueil pour l'appartement s'est tres bien déroulé, c'était propre et bien équipé (avec meme des serviettes de plage). Un fois qu'on s'habitue a trouver le chemin, nous avons trouvé l'endroit tres agréable (en haut d'une colline donc avec un vent constant) a l'écart de la ville donc tres calme. Malgré des matelas un peu mous, l'aménagement est tres complet et moderne, la terrasse est idéale pour manger et se prélasser. Enfin, la piscine du lotissement est un bonus non négligeable!

First time to Gwada.....

So I'm the type that sees a deal on a plane ticket, purchases it and then look at a map to see exactly where I'll be going and this trip was no different. I had no idea where to stay, what city or area, and was doing a blind search on every lodging site I could find. Also I barely speak any French so that added to the mystery/fun/confusion. I finally settled on this rental based on Monsieur Didiers' raving reviews and it was the best move I made all trip! Despite his excellent directions, the language barrier caused me to get lost. First in a cow field, then in Pointe-a-Pitre then at a questionable convenience store in Le Gosier. Monsieur Didier called my cell despite the late hour (flight delayed, way long rental car lines, don't use Avis!) and he actually met us and had us follow him to the condo - who does that?? The condo was great. Clean, comfortable, well appointed with the basics and the best part was the gorgeous views! It was also very easy to jump on N4 and go east to Ste. Anne, St Francois or Point de Chateaux or West to Base-Terre. The complex itself was safe and secure and high on a hill so it felt perfectly safe and I was so happy my blind d decision paid off! My flight out was very early and I had to leave the apartment at 6am. Monsieur Didier came to the apartment, had us follow him all the way to the airport so we didn't get lost and took us straight to the rental car place. Problem was they weren't open yet and we were in danger of missing the international check-in time! Monsieur Didier made a call, found the key drop box (well hidden - seriously - not Avis)and then gave us a ride to the airport terminal! AMAZING HOST! Had I stayed anyplace else I am not sure I would return to Guadeloupe but this experience make me want to go back again soon and I will be choosing my travel dates around the dates that this condo is available! Merci, Monsieur, for a most hospitable experience!!!!

Appart tres bien situé avec une très belle vue

La situation de l'appartement est très pratique pour pouvoir rayonner dans toute l'île. Il est bien équipé, il ne manque qu'un four et un lave vaisselle pour que ce soit parfait ! Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine ou il n'y avait jamais personne d'autre. Relativement peu de moustique également, c'est appréciable ! Mais le must c'est la vue depuis la terrasse sur la basse terre et les saintes, superbe au petit dej !

Für alle deutschen Gäste: Die Ferienwohnung ist exakt wie auf der Internetseite beschrieben und auf den Fotos dargestellt, sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber, in einer abgegrenzten Wohnanlage und mit kleinem Pool. Es hat alles sehr gut geklappt und wir wurden am Ende von dem netten Vermieter sogar zum Hafen gefahren... Alles in allem, sehr empfehlenswert!

On y a séjourné du 11 au 19/07/2015. Cadre magnifique et endroit très tranquille. La résidence est vraiment très agréable. On a bien été accueilli par le propriétaire. On recommande cette location.

The apartment was rented yearly during 8 years, and then in 2013 was completely renovated. Ideally located in Guadeloupe's centre; it is naturally perfect for holiday rentals. Located 5 min away from Dacha beach, in front to L'Îlet Gosier, it provides me the opportunity to meet and to take positive advantage of the stunning island that is Guadeloupe

What makes this property unique

The main lure of this apartment is its unobstructed view of the sea, the Île des Saintes, and Dominica which is visible if there's good weather; also the mountainous of Basse-Terre domain by the La Soufrière volcano's mountain range. What is more beautiful than waking up in front of that panorama...? The pool is the cherry on top for the days you don't want to go and swim on the beach.
