Antique villa with annexes, subdivided into spacious apartment all different from each other. Situated in the hill approximately 1000 ft above sea level. Large walled garden with furniture, parking, swimming pool (12 x 6 m. Approx.) Swimming pool for children, coin washing machine, bowls, ping-pong, games for children, barbecue, and beautiful views over the countryside and of the sea.
The tree-rooms apartments, which can sleep up to six people, consist of a living-room with a kitchen corner 2 double bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, the other 2 bed can be in the bedroom or in the sitting room.


Walking through the large gardens or sunbathing in the sun-lounge next to the two swimming-pools, guests can admire the magnificent views over olive groves and vineyards as far as the sea. Villa Elena is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday in a family atmosphere, with beautiful scenery, fine cuisine, sport and culture, and traditional local events. Villa Elena is ideal for children, who can spend their time in the open air, playing in the gardens or in their own pool. There are a lot of games around the gardens, including table tennis, Bowles, swings, a slide, and table football, as well as the sports area for tennis, five-a-side football, basketball and volleyball, adjacent the residence, Cavallino Matto and Aqua Park .
It is ideally situated for visits to places of interest around Tuscany: Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Massa Marittima, Bolgheri and the famous “DOC wine area” (Sassicaia, Ornellaia), the Island of Elba, national parks and spas.

Sport: The local area offers a whole range of opportunities for sports enthusiasts: from water sports (swimming, sailing, windsurf) to running (in the beautiful pinewoods of Cecina Mare, in the surrounding woods or on the quiet country roads) and cycling. The Etruscan Coast is an ideal training terrain for cyclists, who can take advantage of the alternation of flat stretches and hills (racing bikes) or try the mountain bike routes in the woods: the signposted routes in the “Macchie della Magona” Park, 7 miles from Villa Elena, are particularly recommended. The nearest golf courses are in Tirrenia (30 miles) and Punta Ala (45 miles). There are stables just over a mile away.
At Villa Elena guests can play tennis, five-a-side football, basketball and volleyball adjacent the residence (on the multi-purpose pitch), table football, table tennis (two tables) and Bowles

Vacances parfaites en Toscane avec nos enfants. Piscine parfaite, logement très beau dans la villa. Bien sûr à Guardistallo il faut prendre la voiture si nous souhaitons parcourir la Toscane mais cela en vaut la peine. Il y a dans le village le minimum pour bien y vivre avec une épicerie une boulangerie des restaurants et un bureau de tabac. Parfait pour profiter des environs

Wunderbare Zeit auf Traum-Anwesen

Wir haben in der Villa Elena zwei wunderbare Wochen verbracht. Die Zimmer waren geräumig, sehr sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet. Das kleine Anwesen ist sehr liebevoll angelegt und mit allem ausgestattet (Sitzgelegenheiten, Grillplätze, Hollywoodschaukeln, Tischtennisplatte, Tischtennisschläger, Kicker), was den Urlaub entspannt und schön macht. Die Besitzerin war super freundlich und stets hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns in der Villa Elena, die sehr schön unterhalb des bezaubernden Örtchens Guardistallo gelegen ist, sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sicherlich bald wieder.

Das Appartement war richtig geräumig, sauber und wirklich gut ausgestattet, es fehlte lediglich eine Salatschüssel. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit, der Garten auf dem Grundstück ist ein Traum. Der Pool war ok. Der einzige Kritikpunkt: nach einer Woche von zweien wollten wir gerne Handtücher tauschen. Das war natürlich kein Problem, kostete aber Geld.

Urlaub wie er sein soll

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche in der Villa Elena. Genossen haben wir die Lage, mitten im Ort und trotzdem lieblich entrückt dank des riesigen Parks und dem vielen grün. Der Pool war perfekt für uns mit Kind und fußläufig war der schöne Ort mit Restaurants, Geschäften und Bars zu erreichen. Für unseren Sohn hat der Park ständig neue Überraschungen bereitgestellt und es war einfach schön. Familie Sforzini waren tolle Gastgeber und wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder. Gleiche Wohnung. Es war so schön!

Sarebbe bello poter restare un mese intero!!

E' stata una bella vacanza, molto rilassante e allo stesso tempo interessante. Inizialmente ci siamo riposati, abbiamo giocato con i bambini nel parco, utilizzato i l barbecue, poi ci siamo dedicati elle escursioni, volterra, san gimignano, massa marittima, lucca e pisa, veramente stupende!! Il tempo è stato ottimo e ci ha permesso di abbronzarci sia nel solarium in piscina che al mare. I bambini hanno fatto conoscenza con i figli degli altri ospiti e si sono divertiti!! Il nostro appartamento era molto spazioso e pulito, con tutto il necessario per cucinare, situato nella villa principale, con alti soffitti e grandi finestre dalle quali potevamo assistere ad un fantastico tramonto. Il residence si trova nel paese di Guardistallo , piccolo borgo con tutto il necessario, dai negozi per fare la spesa ai bar per la colazione, ai ristoranti per le cene, Tutti molto buoni!! Appena arrivati e durante la nostra vacanza i proprietari sono stati veramente gentili e ci hanno consigliato e assistito in ogni nostro desiderio. Non vediamo l'ora di poter tornare !! Consiglio Villa elena, ne sarete soddisfatti!!

Why they chose this property

Virgilio Marchionneschi decided to built a house suitable for the changed needs of his family and farming enterprise. With this in mind, on the 22.02.1878 he purchased the old cemetery land next to the church and rectory.
He immediately started building a beautiful mansion to use as a home, with every comfort for his family and guests.
In the basement there were ample rooms for the needs of the farm: the olive press, a big cellar, grain stores and several store-rooms for the preparation and storage of the various products, which came from the numerous farms belonging to the property.
He also set up a precious archive of documents, books and religious objects in a small chapel consecrated to Cardinal Pacelli, future pope.
The mansion was called “Villa Elena”, probably in honour of Queen Elena of Savoia.
Virgilio lived there with his wife, and they were blessed with the birth of three children: Giulio, Fabio and Elena.
When he died, in 1920, his son Fabio inherited the villa, while Giulio inherited a similar villa situated in the Commune of Montescudaio.
On the death of Fabio Marchionneschi in 1938, following various successions “Villa Elena” passed to Elena Marchionneschi.
Her son, Piero Sforzini transformed the villa into a tourist structure in 1961 and nowadays the Hotel-Residence “Villa Elena” is patronized by a range of international clientele.
