Excellent stay at this lovely clean cottage couldn’t have asked for more. Superb hosts in this quiet peaceful area of Cornwall but only a short drive to Looe & Polperro.
Birmingham and Derby staying for family wedding at Polhawn Fort
Brilliant place, very spacious, homely, well equipped and clean. Quiet and calm beautiful location. Lovely nearby village and beautiful local scenery. Lovely hosts. Perfect place and stay
A spacious, well equipped cottage. Really peaceful and quiet with well kept grounds. The surrounding area is beautiful and unspoilt as it is off the usual tourist trail. Well worth a visit!
we enjoyed our stay of one week in the nice apartment. everything was nice, the hosts provided even a special cable we needed for being able to connect our electrical appliances to the english system :)
Wow what a beautiful cottage. Home from home, everything you need. Excellent base, very clean, a good size stylish cottage with parking. Both Mike and Tine, the hosts were welcoming, friendly, we couldn't have asked for nicer hosts. Will definitely return. Thank you for a great stay.
Apple Tree Cottage is a delightful character cottage in a lovely location. Very peaceful and quiet but near enough to activities and sightseeing in the area. The cottage was immaculate with all the necessary essentials provided. Mike and Tine were attentive hosts and nearby in case of any queries. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.
The property was ideal for a short 5 day break and the right size for two people. It was clean and welcoming and contained a good range of essential features. The property was situated in an attractive location as part of Glebe Barn and the owners, Tine and Mike Evans, were unobtrusive and welcoming. Excellent value for money visit with easy access to all parts of this area of Cornwall.
Lovely cottage with all amenities, beautifully presented and very comfortable for 2-4 people. I am a former “local” and the cottage was a perfect base to meet up with family who still live in and around the area. Painless week, and we hope to return in the not too distant future.
Clean and comfortable cottage. Lots of storage helps to keep the place tidy while you stay. Comfy beds and sofa. Great location near fantastic beaches and Plymouth for a day out.
We had an amazing stay at Apple tree cottage! The countryside in Cornwall is beautiful, the accommodation was so comfortable. The hosts were lovely and friendly. We had an amazing visit to this beautiful part of England.
The Cottage was ideal for a family and was in a nice quiet location but not far from the coast. Good Communication wth the Owners. The booking through VRBO all straightforward. Would definitely recommend this Holiday Property.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
very nice and clean cottage, in these times of uncertainty you couldnt ask for a cleaner place, a very good communication with the owner, and wish them well in the future
We have spent a wonderful week at Apple Tree Cottage. Very warm welcome from owners and homemade scones and cream on our arrival. Cottage is spotless and very well equipped. Well situated for visiting many places and nice local walks. Highly recommended.
Really beautiful and amazing spot. Cottage very clean and very polite management

About the host
Hosted by Michael Evans, Tine Evans, Frank Evans, Doreen Evans
We are Michael Evans, my wife Tine and our daughter Amy, also my parents Frank and Doreen. We have been holidaying in Cornwall and Devon for many years and decided that when my parents finally retired we would all sell up and move to the west country to enjoy the fresh air, wonderful countryside and fantastic beaches.
Why they chose this property
Glebe barn, with the twin cottages of Tawny and Apple Tree gave us the living space we needed, with the added bonus of the chance of running a holiday let. I have been coming to Whitsand Bay since i was a young boy, and we have rented many holiday lets over the years and always envied the lifestyle and wanted to give it a try for ourselves. We loved the location of the property, it is very private as we are surrounded by woodland, but not too remote and quick access to the main road makes visiting the many sights and places of interest in the area very easy indeed.
What makes this property unique
We feel the property offers a unique blend of the tranquility of being surrounded by woodland, and nature at the centre of the Rame Peninsula, whilst also being close to good transport routes, a major city and many other towns and villages of interest.
