Why they chose this property
It's not too far a drive from where we live in Gloucestershire down to 3 Fish Cellars but still, whenever we arrive the first thing we do, before we even unpack, is to trot down the the short path to the beach with the dogs and stretch our legs. By the time we've walked the length of the 3 adjoining beaches we really feel like we're on holiday.
Each day we spend at the house is different. Every day though starts by opening the french doors onto the balcony where we sit, drink coffee and take in the view. With the forever changing sea and sky it's never the same view twice.
Then what to do with the day? In addition to those right on our doorstep there are so many more beaches within a short drive that we're spoilt for choice.
If we're staying close to the house then there's swimming if the tide is is and rock pooling if it's out. Perhaps we'll call into the Jolly Roger Cafe for one of their famous crab sandwiches.
Some days we want to get amongst it so take the 15 drive west to the classic Cornish fishing town of Looe where we'll browse the shops, grab a drink and pick up the best fresh fish from Penhellys fish merchants. We might even squeeze in a Cornish pasty to get us through until dinner (we are in Cornwall after all).
Or we go 15 minutes east to the attractions of historic Plymouth; the grandkids never tire of the National Marine Aquarium, we love to stroll along famous Plymouth Ho and Citadel, and there's something for everyone at the Barbican Waterfront.
Whatever we're doing, by the end of a long day we've always worked up a good appetite. Perhaps we bbq the fish we picked up in Looe, perhaps we go to the Finnygook Inn at the top of the road (always great food and dog friendly). EIther way, sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine and watching the stunning sunset is the best way to round things off.
These are just some of the reasons why we love our Cornish home and hope that you will too
