Relax with awesome views of the sea in a stylish Cornish seaside cottage, situated right on the beach in Kingsand, in Cornwall's forgotten corner - an area of outstanding coastal beauty.
Storm Cottage is a gorgeous spot in a very special place. The kind of place where kids run barefoot, you can enjoy a drink overlooking the beach - and you can get lost for hours exploring rockpools, doing coastal walks or just looking at the stunning view.
Storm Cottage is an upside down cottage, the layout designed to maximise the views. It's simply decorated, bathed in light with a comfortable New England feel.
There's a stunning open plan lounge with floor to ceiling views of the ocean with two large comfortable cream sofas and a chaise longue perfect for gazing out to sea in. There's also a new Smart TV with DVD player all linked to our super-fast Cornish wireless broadband. Our two double bedrooms have sea views and en-suites. One en-suite bathroom has portholes out to sea - spot a dolphin while you soak in our roll top bath! The ground floor cabin style bedroom has two singles, is perfect for kids, and has walk in wetroom and bathroom adjacent, perfect for flip-flopping into for a shower after a day in the beach.
There is a duck egg blue, Shaker style kitchen-diner, with a table for six and french doors out to the sun deck.
The cottage has two sea facing balconies and a private deck/eating area. There is rare and exclusive parking for three cars.
Either side of the cottage there are two beaches and three pubs, serving great food, two cafes, two shops and a cocktail bar within easy walking distance. The sheltered sand and shingle beaches are safe and perfect for swimming, rock-pooling, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding or boating.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Check out is at 11am and we’ll need you to be clear by then for the cleaners. Would you mind stripping your beds and put them in the utility room - but don't wash them - we have cleaners for that!
If you could also put the rubbish into the bins outside too, it would be fab! There's a large key for the bin in the top right drawer in the hall. Bin collection day is MONDAY.
Do let us know of any problems or breakages so we can try to fix for the next guests.
Pop the key under the mat as you leave.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Do not open windows/doors on seaward side and leave them open when going out (storms come in quickly)
No more than 2 people on the front balcony at any one time
No loud music after 10pm

This was a return visit for us. We enjoyed the Cawsand Ferry to Plymouth. The coastal walking paths and the Devonport Inn are fantastic! We look forward to returning again.

Thankyou Helen. It is a fantastic and unique property with arguably the best sea views possible! You can definitely come again!
A superbly located property right by the sea in a lovely village location. Cottage is well equipped and enjoys great views out to sea. Very safe local bathing whilst the village is well served by good pubs / eateries. Communication with Dawn was spot on throughout. Thank you for a great week.
Storm Cottage is a delightful place to stay, right at the water’s edge: actually, on occasions, in it! To see the sea breaking across the windows was spectacular and then, on calm days, just the lapping sound was so relaxing.
The cottage was beautifully presented and comfortable. The bed linen and towels were good quality, as was the kitchen equipment.
The location in Kingsand gives easy access to the sea, just a few steps away and to the various shops and pubs. The Villages are well served. The ferry to Plymouth is a nice trip if you hanker for larger retail outlets.
Having the parking was clearly an extra bonus.
Overall, a delight.

Kingsand is a special place. We loved it so much, we moved here. We hope you do too!
Why they chose this property
Kingsand is an absolute gem. Tucked away in Cornwalls forgotten corner, it has spectacular sea views, higgeldy piggeldy Georgian pastel cottages and beautiful nature walks. There’s everything you need in the village and the historic and cool coastal city of Plymouth is within easy reach.
What makes this property unique
There are not many properties with a sea view from every room in the heart of an unspoilt Cornish coastal village. Storm is quirky, comfortable and cool. Balconies out to sea, a hop skip and a jump from awesome gastropubs, coffee shops and two beaches, Storm is the perfect beach house. Parking for three cars makes you the envy of the village!
