Unsafe and Inhabitable and still waiting for the refund...
Booking process great. Arrival with Alessandro fine until I saw the place. I have all the pictures as proof and documented text, whatsapp messages with owner. All the plants on the "deck" are dead. my wife just had knee surgery and ices her knee at night. Open the freezer and it has not been thawed or cleaned out in looks like a year. Giant clumps of brown ice. The walls in the kitchen had splatter marks. The railing going up the very steep round stair case was completely loose and unsafe to hold on to. VERY dangerous. the beds were on wafer thin and on a platform that was put together with lumber found here and there. The bathroom/shower...UGH, the entire shower at every corner was covered in BLACK MOLD. no lie. I have the pictures...here is the fun part, we immediately leave. telling him its disgusting. and his place is a complete farse. We had to move to an expensive hotel. At first a woman was answering saying that he will call back. Never did, kept trying him and never replied. She finally said that she is just an emplyoee but then said they are awaiting a refund to come from VRBO. Total lie. I called VRBO and they didnt know anything about it. Sadly, VRBO cannot support the refund without the owner and so, the drama continues. VRBO has tried to call and email the owner. This has been going on for 10 days. This owner should be banned for allowing his properties to be available via VRBO. Where are the standards...
