Just a 10-minute drive away from the bustling seaside town of Whitby, you are in the perfect position to enjoy the many attractions in this historic town as well as the stunning countryside of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The quaint seaside village of Robin Hood’s bay is even closer, with whimsical cobbled streets and winding footpaths linking the cluster of houses spilling down to the waters edge. The Parlolur at Fern Farm was once a modest milking parlour which has been completely transformed into a stunning holiday cottage, ensuring you have the warmest welcome. With views across the rolling fields and out across the national park, this is a great choice for guests looking to get back to nature. Stepping inside large glass doors welcome you into the open plan living area, with a modern quartz topped kitchen, complete with a breakfast bar as well as integrated appliances. Unwind together on the sofa whilst taking in the views, watching out for wildlife, or have a cosy movie night after a busy day exploring. The bedroom has a kingsize bed beneath the beamed ceiling, in this peaceful location you are promised a deep uninterrupted sleep. The en-suite shower room with underfloor heating has a walk-in shower, where you can start each day refreshed before a day exploring your glorious surroundings. The cottages have spectacular panoramic sea views across Whitby Abbey to Sandsend coastline with amazing sunsets and star gazing into the evening. The owner also offers the option to pre-book massage and spa treatments with a masseuse at an additional cost.

Whitby is a popular historic town, with a wide array of pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Explore the narrow, cobbled lanes and pretty market square, or partake in afternoon tea in one of the many charming, traditional tea rooms. With long, sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and a fascinating history to discover, Whitby has something to offer everyone. A must is a climb up the 199 steps to the famous abbey, or a windswept clifftop walk along the Cleveland Way. Take a trip on the heritage steam train as it winds its way over the heather laced moorland from Whitby to the market town of Pickering. Visit ancient woodland such as Falling Foss or Dalby Forest. Or take a day trip to Scarborough, visiting the Peasholm Parks oriental gardens or Alpamare Waterpark with a spa overlooking the sea for an relaxing day enjoying the heated outdoor pools and the saunas. A lovely peaceful location, warm and cosy cottage with everything we needed. Had a brilliant few days stay. Only negative I could find was it would have been nice to have a small welcome pack when we arrived. We would definitely book again. :-)
