This idyllic lodge is a perfect place in which to relax and unwind, with a wonderful private hot tub tucked around the rear of the raised deck. Oakwood Lodge is in a super position on a 40-acre park, not far from the restaurant and café on-site. Offering plenty of privacy, the hot tub is an ideal way to soak and relax after a day exploring this magnificent county, with miles of golden unspoilt beaches and friendly villages. Meander around the small on-site lake and watch the resident swans and wildlife, then treat yourself to a lovely meal and drink in the restaurant and bar.
Located midway between Morpeth and Alnwick, you are literally in the centre of everything to enjoy the many visitor attractions throughout the county. A few minutes’ drive and you reach Morpeth, a pretty historic market town with a grand Edwardian shopping arcade and super choice of bars, restaurants and shops. TravelnNorth to Alnwick and experience the majestic castle featured in Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. The broomstick lessons are popular with the younger visitors, but the grown ups love the Duchess’ gardens with the enchanting water cascade just nearby.
The Northumbrian Heritage Coast offers a plethora of attractions, miles of beaches, friendly seaside villages and some great seafood places. Warkworth is nearby, with the castle sitting at the top of the hill, riverside walks, pubs and cafés. The location makes travel in all directions so simple being set just off the A1. You can easily travel to Hadrian’s Wall in the west, Kielder Forest in the National Dark Sky Park or west over to Rothbury and the Simonside Hills. Oakwood Lodge will provide you with a marvellous base from which to explore the many delights of this friendly county.

Lovely large lodge with great hot tub and outdoor seating areas.
Lovely large lodge with great hot tub and outdoor seating areas. Unfortunately the en-suite shower needs attention there is little power and not able to fully close shower cubicle doors - advised owners will look to rectify problem. Would recommend and hope to return soon.
