Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this comfy 3 bedroom/2 bath home in the quaint mountain town of Brevard. The main/master bedroom has a Queen-sized bed, and the 2 remaining bedrooms are furnished with a Queen in one and two twin beds in the 3rd, comfortable for sleeping 6 people.

The open, bright living room has 3 large windows overlooking a large, private, grassy and natural setting. Hardwood floors thoughout the house. The kitchen is newly renovated and equipped with a dishwasher, dispose-all, microwave, toaster oven, drip coffee maker, crock pot, blender, along with a spacious refrigerator and oven/stove. Plenty of dishes, cookware and utensils for home cooked meals provided.

Situated in the downtown Brevard area, guests can walk to town or to Silvermont Park or Franklin Park for tennis, playground, pool, and jogging/walking trails. Enjoy eating dinner or relaxing on the back deck overlooking a large, grassy backyard with a creek and natural area beyond. Day trips can include visiting the many waterfalls, hiking trails or tubing rivers in the area, or shopping the unique toy store, OP Taylors, and many other downtown shops and attractions. Easy drive to Dupont State Forest, Pisgah Forest, Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Mountain-biking enthusiasts will love the easily accessible, spacious, clean and secured basement to store bikes and gear with easy access to the outside for hosing off and cleaning up.

For our potential guests with mobility limitations, we want you to know that there are 9 stairsteps to the front door and 17 stairsteps to the back door.

I could not have been more pleased with this home. It was very clean and very quiet and private. There was a beautiful view from the living room. It had great access to nature while still being walkable to town. Also, a very organized layout which made things like cooking much easier.

Beautiful with great location!

Beautiful home with plenty of space for a family of 6! We loved the family room with large windows overlooking the large backyard. We saw deer, white squirrels, woodpeckers and all kinds of wildlife from the deck. Downtown is a quick 15 minute walk or 1-2 minutes in the car. All the furnishings and amenities were comfortable and it’s the perfect place for a quiet retreat to the mountains with quick and easy access to all the great restaurants and shops inBrevard!

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at John and Sara's VRBO. The house has everything you would need, with a well equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, and a large living room with large picture windows looking at the woods. We spent a lot of time on the deck drinking coffee and listening to the birdsong. Great base for our forays to Dupont, Pisgah, and Blue Ridge Parkway. Loved it and we want to return!

The kitchen is stocked with any item you could possible need. The dining room table fits 8, great for eating or playing cards. The living room is roomy with comfortable furniture.

Great stay

Loved this property! Everything was great. The driveway is gravel and a little step. We had trouble getting up the first day, but then we parked on the street so we didn’t have to worry about it.

Perfect Place to stay

Great house and hosts. Beautiful view of creek and trees. Highly recommend. It does have a steep driveway. My front wheel drive car spun out some trying to get out. Gotta make a little run up it. But no biggie. Just FYI.

Unexpected guest

This house is comfortable, easy, friendly and obviously loved. Hurricane Helene came and we were totally safe from any flooding or trees falling. We had power, water and shelter, while only lost the internet and cell coverage, which was really odd. Being without any contact with outside world is a challenge. But the home was safe and we all loved our time there. Thank you.

What a wonderful spot...

We have visited Brevard each summer for 25 years and this is one of my very favorite spots. The location is in a cute, quiet neighborhood that's an 9 minute walk from downtown. The house is bright (with the exception of just one bedroom) with huge windows and a beautiful view of a forrest and creek from the living room. The beds and couches were so comfortable (that's not a small detail).The kitchen has all the stuff you need. Laundry is conveniently located. The house was spotless--no signs of mice, bugs, or any other critters. We're definitely coming back next year.

Good location for Day Trips

The house was large enough for 6 of us and in a good location for day trips. Easy and safe 15 minute walk at most to downtown Brevard. Nice, wooded view out the back windows. The house was clean. We saw white squirrels in the back yard and in the surrounding area on our walks. Plenty of seating in the great room for the 6 of us. Internet worked great and was about 300Mbps. We had fun using the ping pong table. Grocery stores were close by car. The bed in the master bedroom was unacceptably uncomfortable. We had to space showers in order to not run out of hot water. This was not a big problem. The gravel drive was steep and both vehicles we had with us spun tires to get to the top. We ended up just parking on the street. Although the street was narrow it was lightly travelled and parking there was not a problem. We had plenty of washing machine and dishwasher pods but ran out of trash bags and toilet paper. On a 5 night minimum stay for a house that is supposed to occupy 6 guests providing only 3 rolls of toilet paper and 4 trash bags is a strange thing to skimp on. Overall I would stay here again except for the bed in the master bedroom.

We had a great stay in this property. It is clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. Downtown Brevard is easily accessible walking or driving. We had some good hiking in the Pisgah National Forest which is also very easy to get to.

My wife and I and our 4 kids love getting up to Brevard for hiking to the many beautiful waterfalls or just enjoying a cookout in the large backyard at the house. When our children were little, they loved playing in the small, pretty creek in the backyard.

Why they chose this property

The Brevard area has many great hiking trails and waterfalls that our kids have enjoyed through the years. Also, the downtown location makes it easy to walk to festivals, stores and restaurants. Franklin Pool and Park, a public swimming pool and extensive playground, is within walking distance where we can picnic and swim together.

What makes this property unique

We love the large private backyard and creek, great for a game of badminton, frisbee, or just to kick the soccer ball and throw a football.

Right around the corner is Silvermont Mansion with tennis and basketball courts, a walking/running trail, and a playground. Franklin Park, a public swimming pool and awesome playground is only blocks away, easy walking distance.

Downtown is just a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to shops, festivals and restaurants.

The neighborhood is so accessible, safe, and walkable.
