Tony is a great host. He was so helpful and communicative during the stay. The place was really clean and neat, as seen in the pictures. Look forward to our next trip there.
We had a lovely stay in the property. Check in was a breeze and Tony made us all feel welcome and generously had a few goodies waiting for us. The whole family enjoyed our stay and would next time spend at least 4 nights to make the most of all the property has to offer.
Tony has a fantastic property and is such a great host!
Fantastic communication throughout our stay and is always happy to help!
Cannot rate highly enough!!
Everything as described and Tony super helpful with information and check in! Really great value property with lots of space both indoors and out. Kitchen really well equipped
We had an amazing weekend stay, with all the family under one roof to celebrate an 80th birthday. The house & grounds are picture perfect! The children loved all the games and being able to roam freely throughout the beautiful open grounds. The property is Clean throughout, with everything you need under one roof, the kitchen is fully equipped, plenty of towels and added extras of shower gels & soaps. Thank you for all the extra touches you left us (birthday cake, chocolates & wine) thank you for our amazing stay, we highly recommend and hopefully shall return in the future.
Communication beforehand was answered very quickly information given out by owner was precise and factual house was well equipped . The owner even gave us flowers chocolates and a birthday cake for my husband we had 14 adults and 8 children

We had the most fabulous weekend staying at this beautiful house - it was exactly what we needed for a weekend of celebrations with 20 of us. The house is spacious, comfortable, and really well set up for a big group. The gardens are absolutely stunning - loads of space to relax, explore, and play. A game of rounders on the field was one of the highlights of the trip, and we even had a surprise visit from a peacock, which made it all the more memorable!Tony was an amazing host - so kind, helpful, and genuinely lovely to deal with. He made sure we had everything we needed and couldn’t have been more accommodating. If you’re looking for a fun, peaceful countryside escape with friends or family, I’d 100% recommend this place. It was perfect from start to finish!
Property was very much as described. Located in a wonderful part of the Kent Countryside with so many activities to do in the immediate and wider vicinities.
The property was well equipped and had a very attentive owner for whom nothing was too much bother.
Children has acres of space to safely play in within the property grounds with equipment provided also
This was a tremendous location for family holidays in a quiet rural setting.
Too many activities to do so we would love to visit again.
We chose the property based on the description which allowed us to allocate the sleeping arrangements for all the family sensibly. The house suited our purpose brilliantly and was the ideal property for our get together and catch up following the hideous two years we have all been through. We used it as a base for our daytime activities and found it sited in an area which has a diverse number of attractions and activities to visit.
The evening allowed us to entertain ourselves well with games provided and a BBQ large enough to cook for all the family..... a real bonus.
The one slight downside is the distance to the local hostelry if you want to walk it. For the young it is not too far but for us more mature folk it can be tiring.......especially the return journey after a sherbet or two. It took us approx. half an hour to walk there and a little longer to get back as we were feeling quite relaxed at this point! However this is a minor point.
Our host was most welcoming and nothing was to much trouble for him and he ensured our stay was problem free.
If the size of house is what you want then I would certainly recommend a stay there.
The house surpassed our expectations.
Totally spotless and well equipped.
Tony is helpful and easy to communicate with.
Beautiful grounds and excellent location
We were Tony’s first guests back after lockdown so there was a lot of uncertainty and discussion prior to our visit. However Tony was quick to answer emails, return phone calls and provide information. We had a very lovely week. We didnt go out on as many day trips as we usually would, due to things still being partially closed down but it still worked out ok as the house and garden were so pleasant to spend time in. There was plenty of room for two families to spread out, and do different things. Beds were all comfortable and the overall feel was light and spacious. The dining area opens onto a patio with garden tables and chairs so easy to take meals outside. Tenterden is 10 mins drive away for supermarkets and we also recommend Bodiam Boating station, a bit further on, for river activities and cafe. The wifi was a little patchy at times but phone reception was good.
Ideal for a family gathering, including small children
A lovely property: warm, inviting, offering seven versatile bedrooms including three excellent en suite for couples and generously well equipped. Surrounded by its own field provides scope for cricket, football, frisbee etc just outside. We were my wife and myself, our three children plus their partners, and six grandchildren aged from 11 months to 7 years. It's difficult to find rental properties for so many, and Woodview proved ideal – especially in this February half-term's wet and windy weather. It would have been equally so in warm sunshine, there being numerous attractions nearby for all ages. On this occasion we drove down to a very windy Dungeness - well worth visiting however, as it is a uniquely fascinating landscape and has also its famous miniature railway (New Romney to Dungeness return I guess the best choice of tickets) although not that scenic as you clatter along behind the beach-side bungalows, with many of their fences blown down!
Tony is a warm-hearted host, a pleasure to meet and readily helpful, having his office in a corner of the field. A few very minor quibbles, as with any house including one's own. Overall strongly recommended.
This was a great place for our friends new year get away. We were 12 adults and 5 children and the house provided plenty of space for everyone.
The location is ideal for visiting the coast or other local attractions and there are also several shortish walks you can do.
The house is spacious and includes everything you could possibly need.
Toby was brilliant and provided lots of tips before and while we were there. I would definitely recommend this property if you are a large group and are looking for reasonably priced accommodation.
Booked this property for Christmas for the whole family,it was superb.Tony the owner was excellent throughout from the time we booked to the time we arrived. He left a welcome pack which included a big chocolate cake. It was like home from home everything was there. We had a fabulous time ,Would throughly recommend.
A lovely-sized place to stay with a festive-feel. All the amenities you could ask for with a friendly booking experience from start to finish.
This was our first stay at the location and having a large family i think we'll definitely be back (perhaps give the summer-time a whirl!).
Thank you for our pleasant stay!
We have been booking this property for Christmas getaways with friends for the past 6 years and it never disappoints! The house is always beautifully decorated with christmas lights and christmas trees and is situated in a stunning location.
As always we were warmly welcomed by the host Tony on arrival who was lovely. He gave us loads of helpful information and showed us where everything was once again. The house was very clean with a well stocked kitchen (including a welcome pack with basic items such as milk, bread, sugar, tea, coffee etc and a lovely chocolate cake!), the living room had loads of sofas and chairs (perfect for a family/friends get together with games) and the bedrooms were very spacious and cosy. The bathrooms were also very clean and well stocked.
Could not ask for anything more and that is the reason we continue to come back! Would highly recommend this property!!
We had a very good time at High Halden. The accomodation was perfect for a stay with 12 student and two adults from Holland. Plenty of rooms and easy to make cozy. We made trips to Canterburry, Dover,Hastings, London and some castels and the beautiful sandy beach. Tony, the manager was very kind and a good help.
Fabulous location with amazing grounds. Very relaxing and plenty of room for our family weekend away. House was well prepared for a big group, with everything we could need. We will come again! 👍
Good outdoor and indoor space for young children and large lounge for whole family to relax in. Manager was close by most days and was always helpful. Not too far from places of interest but rural enough to mean it was quiet and peaceful. A good stay.
Our stay in the property was less than pleasant experience. We were a group of 7 families ( 14 adults and 6 kids and 3 toddlers) and stayed in this property for 2 nights and 3 days in July 2019. We were impressed with the pictures and the rave reviews online and hence decided to choose this property. We were looking for a spacious rural location where the kids would be able to play freely while the adults could enjoy the summer days. We had 3 main problems
1. Spiders everywhere : While we expect some of this in a rural property, we were surprised to find so many spiders in the rooms. There we kids and toddlers around and most of the time we were busy simply clearing the cobwebs and spiders. One of the guests even found a spider in the bed when she woke up in the morning. I guess a bit of housekeeping would have sorted it. Apart from that, one shower didn't work and the bedrooms above the garage outside the main house were so smelly that people couldn't use it. This may have been due to the rooms not getting aired sufficiently.
2. Intolerant Noise policy : While we appreciate the need to be mindful of noise levels, we were asked to even refrain from any music outside the house. We weren't Glastonburying there but just had some light music during a BBQ in the middle of the afternoon but we were not even allowed that. We found that very strange and restrictive. It was as if we were constantly under the watch !
3. Lack of privacy : The grounds of the villa are shared with glamping sites on 3 of the 3 sides ( the 3rd is the entrance) and hence, even if the ground is large, there is very little privacy. You are sharing it with 2 other campsite users.
Overall, we felt let down with the whole experience. We have a weekend break every year and this was one of our worst experiences. Given the high charges, we were at least expecting a well kept property with some privacy. Sometimes, pictures do lie !

Gem in the Garden of England
Our family of 11 spent 10 days at this beautiful property and were pleasantly surprised at how comfortably we all fit. Tony, the landlord, met us on arrival and gave us lots of useful information/brochures about things to do and dining in the area as well as being available on short notice if we needed anything. The house had 3 floors with 7 lovely bright bedrooms. 4 of the bedrooms had double/queen beds, one of which also had 2 extra single beds and another, clearly the master bedroom, had a large king bed. 3 of these 5 bedrooms had en-suite bathrooms. There were also another 2 bedrooms, each with a large single bed and a regular single bed. There was another full bathroom on the 2nd floor and a toilet on the ground floor. The house was warm, welcoming, clean and fresh with a well-stocked kitchen and everything you could need. The BBQ came in handy a couple of evenings along with ample seating for eating, both indoors and out. There were 3 British sized refrigerator/freezers, ovens and a microwave, laundry facilities and the living room was comfortable with 3 large couches and chairs which all made for a perfect place to relax with family after long days of touring the Kent area. We could not have asked for more and would highly recommend this property to others.
