Your friends, family & dogs will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located cottage with parking.

Minutes from the beach and even though in the heart of the town, it is tucked away in a private gated mews with a quiet courtyard.

Wild swim beaches, restaurants & pubs within walking distance. Very quiet. Other coves & Dartmoor swims and walks are 10-30 mins by car.

The train station is an 8 min walk which is direct to London Paddington/Waterloo.
The space
Open plan lounge, kitchen diner with a secluded outdoor courtyard. Wet room/bathroom and utility area downstairs. Family bathroom on the first floor with a double bedroom and a triple bed room. Top floor is a double bedroom. Storage for paddle & surf boards. Polly steps car park is a short walk where you can pay to park your boats and launch on slip way. Please ask for more details.
Guest access
Key lock access to the house located in a private gated mews. Free car park permit for one car. 2 car parks 1 minute away from cottage and 3 other car parks available in town with the permit.
Other things to note
Dogs are welcome and there is an all year round dog friendly beach 2 minutes away. However, dogs should not be left unsupervised at the property. There is a stair gate to stop dogs from going upstairs. This is for allergies and health reasons. The back courtyard must be cleaned up and patio washed down. No dogs on the furniture please. Poo bags, leads, outdoor shower (back) & portable shower at the front, towels, shampoo and treats are available to make your holiday more relaxing & enjoyable.

Beautiful cottage - would definitely stay here again. Kitchen was extremely well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery. Ample room for 6 adults; we never felt cramped or in each others way. Love Teignmouth and Mermaid Cottage was in the perfect location for the shops, pubs and beaches but was surprisingly secluded and quiet. I hope we can return again next year.

Wonderful cosy Teignmouth home

The property was spotless and tastefully decorated with everythung you might need. We loved the courtyard space, which was perfect for breakfast. Nice selection of books and games and an Alexa. The bathrooms were particularly nice. The host was very helpful and responded quickly to our questions. They also had lots of useful information about the area. Just a short walk to the seafront, Back Beach and the ferry to Shaldon. Ness Cove is lovely.

You will love the happy, friendly feel the town has. Enjoy exploring all the fun of an English Seaside Town and the breathtaking South West coastal path.

Why they chose this property

If you want a quiet get away, a family holiday, time with friends or if you like Wild Swimming, paddle boarding, sea sports, walking along the idyllic South West Coastal Path or Dartmoor National Park - this is the cottage for you. 3 minutes walk to the beach and all on a level in the centre of town but tucked away down a private mews so you don't hear anything! Dog friendly and child friendly.
