This Traditional Scottish Lodge caters for 8 guests and is ideal for a family or group of friends. Edinburgh and Glasgow airports are 1.5 and 2 hours drive away respectively. All four bedrooms are en-suite and the Lodge has a large commercial-style kitchen, dining room, lounge and bar, both with log-burning stoves, and a leisure room with games tables and a library. There is also a garden and large car park. With its cozy Victorian hunting lodge style, the property is an ideal choice for a relaxing get-away, while activities for outdoor enthusiasts are also within easy reach. Stays are generally 7 days Friday to Friday or Saturday to Saturday with long weekend breaks also available Friday to Monday and short breaks over Christmas/New Year and for local events. The Struan Inn Self-Catering Lodge is located 12 miles north of the town of Pitlochry and 5 miles north of the village of Blair Atholl in a peaceful rural setting. The Lodge is just off the A9, the main road from the Lowlands to the Highlands with easy access from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.
The Lodge sleeps up to 8 people across four en-suite bedrooms - two king-size, one double and one ground floor twin. The spacious commercial-style kitchen will appeal to keen cooks with acres of preparation space and a choice of ovens. Guests can relax in the TV lounge with wood burning stove, or chill out in the newly created Leisure Room with library, snooker and football tables. The Old Bar has been retained so that guests can set up their own entertainment space or enjoy a coffee by the wood burning stove. A formal Dining Room is located in the conservatory with doors opening out into the garden. Additional seating and a barbeque are provided in the summer months.
Local attractions are within easy reach, including the majestic Blair Castle, home of the Atholl Highlanders, the busy town of Pitlochry with two whisky distilleries, the pretty village of Dunkeld with its cathedral and the attractive market town of Aberfeldy. Just one mile away, guests can find a shopper's paradise. The House of Bruar, or the 'Harrods of the North', offers country clothing, gifts and homeware and also has an amazing food hall with butchery, delicatessen, a restaurant and fish and chip shop.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside and with its proximity to the Cairngorms National Park, the Lodge is the ideal base for walkers and cyclists, with many popular routes only a short drive away.
Whole house: 3-7 day stays, long weekend breaks Friday to Monday, Christmas/New Year short breaks. Sorry no pets (except assistance dogs), No stag/hen parties. Additional guests for overnight stays or parties are not permitted. Minimum child age 13.

About the host
Hosted by Host
Mary-Ann and Bob look forward to welcoming you to the Struan Inn Self-Catering Lodge. Retaining many original features, the historic Lodge is tastefully decorated in a Victorian hunting-lodge style. A former traditional Scottish Inn built in the 1860's, the property is spacious with a variety of areas in which guests can gather and socialise. In particular, the Old Bar has been retained with its wood burning stove and impressive elm-wood bar and gantry, complete with clan crests.
Despite its size, however, the Lodge has a cozy atmosphere and offers comfortable accommodation across its bright and airy en-suite bedrooms. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the Lodge is a delightful rural retreat.
