Harbour House is a lovingly refurbished and centrally located beautiful three storey house, sleeping 9 guests, with private parking.
Harbour House is a spacious house boasting 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and off street parking situated opposite the harbour which leads to the beach and town. The modern kitchen is the perfect space to serve up some of the local delicacies in the spacious dining room off the entrance hallway seating 8-10 guests. After a hearty meal relax in front of the log fire in the separate living room. Conveniently there is a ground floor bathroom with a newly fitted shower suite; great to rinse off after a day at the beach. On the 1st floor there are 2 spacious bedrooms; 1 double & 1 king size and a further single bedroom plus another bathroom with shower over the bath, making it a great space for families. Further up on the 2nd floor with views over the rooftops and harbour, you will find a twin bedroom and a fifth bedroom consisting of a double bed. Please note that the traditional ceilings are low in the 2nd floor bedrooms so tall people may need to watch their heads. The front garden is a large private gated courtyard with seating and a driveway.
The town is only a few doors away at the end of the road and the beach and historic working harbour is opposite. To keep the children entertained and adults alike, visit Whitstable Castle with a tea room, gardens and a playpark. There are plenty of restaurants to dine at and boutiques to shop in. Visit the beautiful Canterbury Cathedral or Herne Bay's Pier, both just a 20 minute bus journey.

Really nice property in a great location. Owners were very quick and helpful when replying to queries. The property is quite loud with kids running about due to wooden floors throughout but otherwise all was great.
Great location, nice place in need to a little tlc
I really liked the bedrooms and the size of the property for 9 of us was perfect...
The location and driveway were so convenient, litterally across the road from all the amenities.
The property isn't perfect.... The bathroom and downstairs showeroom are very poorly finished and as a consequence have exposed wall, sub flooring and chipboard. There is also a substantial problem with mold in the showroom as there is no extractor (though weirdly a hole has been cut in the tiles to accommodate one).
The kitchen is also tired and probably in need of replacing entirely, with mold around the tiling, the sink not secured to the worktop and some of the units are blown from water ingress.
All 3 rooms at the very least need to be resilienced.
There's also damp coming through some walls in the downstairs where the plaster is peeling.
There bare floor boards could do with some runners up the stairs and rugs as whichever room you're in at the time, you can hear ever footstep on every floor (and It'll warm the place up).
Overall this is a great place and lovely, lovely house but it isnt really up to a holiday rental standard in my opinion and that being the case wouldn't recommend it as it stands.
