About this property

Trullo with pool and hot tub - Ostuni

The enchanting Trullo di Mamma Lucia, dating back to the 18th century, features a large swimming pool and extensive green spaces for relaxing amidst the Ostuni hills. This elegant villa features two traditional conical bedrooms with private bathrooms and smart air conditioning. There's a relaxation pool with an indoor whirlpool and a spacious kitchen with an antique, working fireplace. Outside, there's a fantastic, illuminated poolside patio where you can enjoy lunches and dinners amidst the captivating Puglian landscape.

The enchanting "Trullo di mamma Lucia," built in 1700, has recently been renovated according to the traditional Ostuni style, highlighting the classic bright white colors of the walls and the "Chianche" that make up the original flooring of the historic residence.

The villa, very bright and quiet, is located on the ground floor and has a private entrance for each room.

The trullo consists of a living area with a sofa bed and a wood-burning fireplace, a splendid equipped kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, various utensils, and a dining table.

It also has two typical conical bedrooms embellished with local "Chiancarelle" and characteristic natural niches.

Each room is equipped with all comforts, including a double bed with high-quality sheets, a private bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, bidet, hairdryer, and a welcome kit with shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion.

The rooms also feature smart TVs, safes, and smart air conditioning units that can be controlled via an app, so you can enjoy a cool and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. One of the two bathrooms also features a stunning indoor relaxation hot tub with a whirlpool, making your experience unforgettable. Outside, there's a large swimming pool and a stunning stone shower, as well as extensive lawns with loungers and hammocks for relaxing in the shade of centuries-old olive trees that filter the warm, Apulian sunshine. For outdoor cooking, there's a splendid, illuminated patio with a double stone barbecue nearby. You can even climb up to the trullo to admire the breathtaking views of the Murgia from the panoramic terrace.

We also remind you that the villa is completely fenced, so you can enjoy your holiday with your pets in complete safety.

The historic residence is located between Ostuni and Cisternino, right in the center, 6 km from two of the most charming villages in the Murgia.

Ostuni, or rather the "White City," with its historic center, the main tourist attraction, is known locally as Terra, even though it actually sits about 200 meters above sea level. It is a walled city, with portions of the original walls dating back to the Messapians, who founded the city in pre-antiquity, as early as 1000 BC. Ostuni's other inhabitants, including the Ostrogoths, Lombards, Moors, and Spanish, continued to rebuild and strengthen its walls over the centuries. The fabulous architectural setting of the White City allows your gaze to wander through narrow streets, ancient churches, whitewashed houses, and breathtaking views.

The "white city" holds some truly unmissable gems. Take your time and wander the cobbled streets of the historic center, seeking out Baroque and late Gothic palaces, renovated medieval churches, and artisan workshops.

-the Cathedral: in late Gothic style with a finely crafted 24-ray rose window dominating the main facade.

The Bishop's Palace: in the town's central square, the Bishop's Palace and the Seminary Palace stand. They are connected by an elegant arched loggia.

-the Column of Sant'Oronzo: a typical example of Apulian Baroque, it rises like a 20-meter spire in the square of the same name, with the Saint protecting the city below.

In addition to exploring the White City with its ramparts, cathedral, and Bishop's Palace, you can explore the Dune Costiere Regional Nature Reserve, where you can admire the famous dunes and explore various itineraries to discover this lush natural setting.

If you're willing to travel a few kilometers, you can visit the wonderful Alberobello, about 40 km away, and the Castellana Caves, about 55 km away. Polignano a Mare, about 45 km away, is also worth a visit.

A short drive from Ostuni takes you to Ostuni Mare, with its incredible white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, wild stretches of rocks and Mediterranean scrub, and secluded coves. Ostuni's beaches stretch for about 20 kilometers, offering a variety of landscapes and shorelines, with something for every taste. Here are a few suggestions:

-Lido Morelli is about 8 kilometers north of the city center, up the coast. It is a long beach with soft dunes blown by the wind and dotted with Mediterranean scrub. This area has been declared an Area of International Importance by the European Community and is now a Regional Nature Reserve.

Quarto di Monte is a small beach near the hamlet of Monticelli, much loved by locals. It is about 8 kilometers from Ostuni and in the summer it comes alive with lovers of the beautiful sea, the sun, and relaxing evenings by the sea.

Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve: About 20 kilometers from Ostuni lies the wild Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve, a true natural park with extensive areas of Mediterranean scrub and stunning coastlines, dotted with coves and fine sandy beaches. The combination of the sea and Ostuni makes a visit simply unmissable!
