Great stay

Cosy cabin in a secluded area making it perfect for stargazing. The hot tub is great to jump into and take in the views. We’re looking to visit at least yearly. We had a great time.

Stayed here numerous times and always fab! So close to beadnell and beach for the dog . Hut is always clean and well equipped . There have been some improvements since our last stay - bedside tables , full length mirror and new cooker which was great . Love coming here and will be back again soon . Great value for money ! Thanks for the fizz , chocolates and yummy dog biscuits

A small slice of heaven

Wow! We were impressed the moment we opened the gate into the garden. The hot tub, fire pit, and stunning scenery made it instantly feel special — it was absolutely beautiful. The hut didn’t disappoint inside either. It was so cosy and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy, and the glass above it made the nights feel truly magical. The location itself is breathtaking, and a five‑minute drive takes you to Beadnell Bay — don’t miss the beach, it really is stunning. It was exactly the rest we needed after a difficult few months. The surroundings gave us the chance to completely unwind, switch off, and relax. We can’t wait to book again. Thank you so much.

Magical christmas

We had a lovely stay in the sandpiper incl. the sweetest little details as a little Christmas tree, welcome gift and even treats for our furry friends. Everything you could have needed was provided, we were able to cook lovely meals in the small space. Well located for long walks at the beach too! Thanks!

Perfect stay

Thanks to Sam and the team for making our anniversary break so special. Loved the personalised banner, dog treats and the bottle of fizz! Lovely cosy little hut and hot tub. Holiday with friends

Loved the shepherds hut. It’s a small space for such a long stay though so bear that in mind. The only thing missing was a comfy chair to lounge on and somewhere to hang clothes. The bed was super comfy. The wood fired hot tub is great Would recommended to anyone for a long weekend / couple of nights stay. Beadnell is a great place with wonderful beach and pubs

A perfect place

Had a lovely stay in Sanderling with family staying in Sandpiper too. The huts are comfortable and well equipped. The children loved the hot tub and playing in enclosed garden with dogs. Very different and very special ❤️ Beadnell a short walk away had lovely pub The Craster Arms which is dog friendly and coffee shops plus a stunning beach. Would love to return .

Amazing stay!

Highly recommend The Sandpiper. As a family of 4, we thoroughly enjoyed our restful stay. Beautiful shepherd’s hut, with lots of thoughtful details and very relaxing! Powerful shower, cosy accommodation and enclosed garden so children / dogs can explore safely. Beautiful views overlooking the fields and sea. Good location to explore the Northumberland coast. We’ll be back!

Sunday to Wednsday short stay

We rented both the Sandpiper & the Sanderling for a stay with our friends and there dog my wife and i had the larger hut the Sandpiper together with our dog both huts are lovley and quint the smaller hut haveing the better view over the fields and the sea in the distance both huts have the sky view from the comfortable king size bed if we are being critical theres not a lot of outside lights for when its dark ie going out to the hut where the fridge and logs are stored also there needs to be a hand rail on the steps up to the huts door and some way of tring the hut door open

Me and my wife stayed over for 2 nights and honestly could not fault the place, nice touch with the bottle of bubbly and chocolate and the hot tub was awesome

Another fab stay

It's our 3rd time at the Sandpiper, we love the location and use it as a base to explore the north east coastline. We love using the wood fired hot-tub and our dog loves lying on the grass area outside the hut. highly recommended place to stay, we will be back.

Cosy

We had a lovely cosy stay. The location is great, the morning views were fab. We had terrible weather but we made the most of our little cosy get away in the hut. The host replied quickly to questions. It is also completely secure, we had no issues letting our dog in and out of the hut freely and she loved zooming around the garden. We had lovely food at the craster arms which was close by. The only thing we would recommend would be more lighting outside (although we think that it would have been more well lit if the weather wasn’t so bad and the solar lights were more powered which couldn’t be helped). Also the kids were scared they would fall out of the top bunk as there is no side railing. (They were fine) Overall we had a very lovely weekend!

2 night stay in the sandpiper

Decent location and nice setup, great spot for dogs, but a few things let it down. The hut looked good at first glance, but cleanliness wasn’t great — cobwebs around the place and a bit dusty. The fire pit and pizza oven hadn’t been cleaned out, which was disappointing. Hardly any plug sockets too. Fine for a night or two, but not great value for the price.

Stop in Sandpiper for 2 nights, everything you could want! Hot tub fabulous, enjoyed night sky star and satellite watching, 15 minute walk into Beadnell, the beach is beatuiful

Great Place to Stay

This accommodation provides a great balance between getting away from surplus technologies but having sufficient appliances to make it perfect for a refreshing getaway break. Excellent location with plenty to do in the local area and very helpful hosts. We (2 x adults and a 7 year old) thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice stay in Northumberland

It was really a great experience, first of all the bath tub after a long walk on the beach. When we arrived crockery and cutlery was not really clean so I had to everything before use. After this, everything was OK. It is amazing what you can squeeze in such a tiny kitchen. But it works, the bed is glorious, and the shower wonderful. We will come back!

A quirky lodge, perfect in every way

We stayed here as a family of three and a dog for 2 nights. It was perfectly sized for us. The accommodation was clean and well stocked. The hot tub was perfect and instructions were clear. I have never slept in a bed so comfortable! Well placed for beadnell and exploring the Northumberland countryside. We will be hurrying back!

Fantastic stay, amazing location
