Absolutely fantastic stay for my partners birthday - the shepherds hut was gorgeous and finished to a really high standard. We used the Cameron Lodge and Mini Bar one evening and it was a highlight of our trip and would highly recommend. The homemade cookies on arrival were delicious. We also enjoyed a few hours in the wood fired hot tub in the rain, don’t let the weather put you off! Perfect hosts, location and facilities - we will definitely be returning.

What an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish!
Our stay in the wriggly tin was just perfect! Firstly Dean's communication is first class and made us feel very welcome. The welcome cookies were incredible! Best we have had. The little touches like the eggs and milk were so thoughtful. The shepherds hut is gorgeous and was filled with luxuries like lovely soft bedding, toiletries and robes. The highlight for us was that you really do feel all on your own which is just what we needed! The hot tub and sauna were perfect! What a hidden gem! TY!

The best retreat we’ve ever had!
As soon as we arrived, all of our stress and worries melted away. Just the soft background noise of wildlife and a crackling fire kept us company whilst we relaxed in the sauna and wood-fired hot tub (10/10!). The Shepard’s Hut itself was delightful, so bright and airy with everything you could need for a romantic weekend. The delicious, homemade cookies were a wonderful touch! You won’t regret staying here at The Wriggly Tin, this place has stolen our hearts!

Perfectly peaceful
Not sure where to start. Firstly the surrounds are perfectly peaceful, the rush of the small brook right outside the property, the soothing sounds of the breeze blowing the apple trees, the calming affect the sheep that takes over, just watching them do their thing. The wiggly tin may be small, but the environment is big. With 2 lovely garden areas, a relaxing wood fired hot tub, sauna and bbq. Small touches made our stay, fresh eggs and HM baked goods. We loved every second and will return.

We loved our stay and would come back tomorrow!
We loved all the home touches and attention to detail such as the fresh eggs, quirky quotes and the duck feather pillows (which there were lots of!). The fresh scones were delicious and a gave us a really warm welcome right from the start. The sky light adds a cosy feel and makes the wriggly tin one of a kind. We loved the heated outside bath at night with the fairy lights and the sheep - something we have never seen or experienced before.

About the host
Hosted by Host
Steeped in history, Tregoose Old Mill dates back to 1750 and stands on the site of an old monastery which befell the anger of Henry VIII during the reformation. The original altar stone can still be seen in the garden and the stone that was used to build the mill is reportedly from the former monastery. A working flour mill has been on this site since the late 1400’s and stopped milling in the 1920’s. The original waterwheel was destroyed many years ago when a group of local boys re opened the mill leat which then washed away the decaying wood structure leaving only part of the original mill wheel spindle which can still be seen on the lower side of the building.
Our desire is to provide luxury country coastal retreats in surroundings that invite you to relax, enjoy time and forget your phones for a while.
