Eimear has provided a spacious and comfortable vacation home with a property that is charming and private. The amount of time and thought that has gone into the information booklet provided before arrival and available at the house is fantastic! So many suggestions complete with detailed addresses. I wish we had more time there.
Idyllic stay with the family as we explored the Emerald Isle. The place offered everything we needed to feel warm and comfortable nestled in the countryside. Thank you for having us!
We highly recommend this accommodation, which offers all the necessary comforts in a peaceful setting. The owner's special attention and detailed house manual ensured that we had an excellent stay.
When I am planning a trip and need accommodations outside of hotels, I take a lot of time to read reviews so that I can stay in the best places for the best value.Eimear's cottage is one of the best properties that me and my family has ever stayed at. She is the consummate host. She has stellar pre-arrival communication, as well as during your whole stay. She has created the most thorough House Books that you have ever encountered... full of information that will answer just about any question that you have about the house and area. And the house is perfect. The accommodations are very clean and the furnishings are perfect. My wife loved the house so much, that she would love to have the blueprints to build the exact house here in the US.If you are looking for a place to stay in the Connemara area of Ireland, I highly recommend the Cozy Cottage that Eimear has created. You will not be disappointed.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this home and Eimear as a host if you’re looking for a lovely cozy place to stay! The communication was excellent, and Eimear was an attentive and helpful host with anything we needed, and all the little details (seasonal decorations, thoughtful bits for the kids) went above and beyond our expectations. The house was clean and beautiful, my parents said they had their best night’s sleep in years, and my 3 year old said he was so sad to leave on our last day. We will definitely be back!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! We felt at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated, spacious and spotless. Our host Eimear was super helpful and very friendly.
We especially liked the garden and the view from the patio in the evening.
Our only regret is not making this wonderful home our base and staying longer. Can't recommend enough. Thank you!
Eimear's cottage was even better than the photos! Really clean, welcoming & homely. It had everything we needed, including a great stock of firewood. The location itself was very peaceful and our kids really enjoyed exploring the garden. Eimear herself was a fantastic host and communication was flawless. The house is an easy drive to the harbour and would definitely recommend a day on Inisheer Island. The kids also loved collecting all the different coloured shells in Coral Strand beach. I highly recommend this Airbnb and hope to return.
Our family recently had the pleasure of staying in Atlantic way cottage and it exceeded our expectations. Eimear was a wonderful host. Communication was fantastic and she was so welcoming. The house itself was amazing. Spacious, clean and comfortable with everything required for our family of 9 with thoughtful touches throughout. A short drive to get the Ferry to the Aran Islands, which we just loved. We would definitely return to this gorgeous little retreat! 5/5
This property felt just like home. It was cozy with enough for gathering and had enough bedrooms for our family of young adults to have some space when needed. The kitchen was small, but mighty with all new appliances that made family meals easy to prepare. The property is fabulous with a nice outdoor sitting space and beautiful grounds. The property owner personally welcomed us to the property and was easily available when we had questions. Beyond that, the owner went far above and beyond to help us when a lost wallet and passport threatened to ruin our trip. We highly recommend.
What a wonderful base for our exploration of Connemara! The house is just lovely, from the nature-themed art and comfortable, tasteful furnishings to the beautiful setting! I spent three nights in Eimear's home with my husband and two daughters (ages 11 and 13), and everyone was just delighted. Especially appreciated were the helpful instructions and labels for working the stove, showers, etc., which are not always obvious to visitors (like me) who come from outside Ireland! It was also spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed for a comfy stay, even including food for the sweet robin who lives in the garden! Highly recommended on all fronts!

Why they chose this property
The original house was built in the 1920's by my grandfather when he returned from the war and has recently been refurbished. You can see some of the old walls, a meter thick! There are four well-sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room and dining room are open plan, with a small kitchen off the dining room. The fireplace is cozy and the beds are comfy. The house is surrounded by mature trees, so there is lots of space for the little ones to explore whilst you relax on the patio in the evenings. Have some porridge oats ready and friendly robins might come and say hello!
