Super cute property with great water views and a cozy stay. Rooms were nicely appointed with everything we needed, and kitchen had a few extras too, to help make our stay easier. Definitely recommended for a small family or friends.
A perfect place to stay with a gorgeous setting. A wonderful amount of information given by the host to explore the area. Anna, the property manager, was a dream. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Beautiful property. Very artsy and interesting. Every room is amazing. We had a great time. Fanore and the surrounding towns are lovely. Ireland is a beautiful country. The stone house will not disappoint!
This house gave us such a true sense of coastal Ireland and its involvement with nature. We needed a home base for having two young kids and between the living space, the spacious rooms, the cleanliness of the overall house and bathrooms, they felt right at home. Few tips* We bought and shipped a travel crib to our first hotel in Dublin to bring with us all over Ireland for the baby and, from Fanore, really enjoyed driving into Ennistymon for breakfast/shopping/ and supplies to bring back to the house to spend as much time there as possible in between tourist sites.
Beautiful house, stunning views, great location, and very helpful and friendly hosts! Property Manager Anna is a gem! Loved our stay and hope to return!
The pictures will never do it justice. A beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Very comfy beds. Well appointed kitchen with some basics provided. Cozy sitting areas and fireplace. Anna was kind and helpful. I think we did almost all of the suggestions we received from the hosts and they were all great! Highlights included the seaweed salt baths, the ivy cottage, Clare’s jam, Inis Oirr on bikes, brigid’s well, and the Burren. The cliffs of Mohr were the least amazing thing we did and they were still cool to see too. If I ever return to Ireland, I would love to stay here again.
If you don’t mind driving the narrow country roads in Ireland, we highly recommend staying at Stone House in Fanore! It was a beautiful place, quiet and peaceful. We loved exploring County Clare for the few days we were there. Lovely is the word to describe our whole trip. Just lovely.
Property was excellent and perfect stay. Host was very communicative and provided tremendous recommendations in the area. House was well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Would love to stay here if the opportunity came about and the host is willing. Thanks for making our trip so memorable!!!
Exceptional accommodations in an exceptional town full of the most lovely people. The sunset every night off the top balcony was worth the price for sure. Everything was beautiful, down to the flowers Anna left on the table. Also, of note, everything is in walking distance. We hardly used our car once we got there!
This home was everything described in the listing! Dierdre was warm and helpful with questions, the property was beautiful, and very clean. Anna, who I assume is the property caretaker, even provided a surprise 65th birthday gift for my husband! The views are extraordinary, and it is a short walk to the nearest restaurant, pub, and a small grocery store. Be sure to take the walk to the beach!
An absolute dream on the Wild Atlantic Way – we simply didn't want to leave! The moment we arrived, we instantly felt that we have landed in a very special place...This beautiful stone house on the Irish west coast is a true gem. The location is magical: Situated directly on the Atlantic Ocean, you can hear the soothing sound of the waves and have Ireland's wild, untouched nature right at your doorstep. The absolute centerpiece of the stone house is the unique, roughly 100 m² main living space. It is perfect for the whole family to gather without ever feeling crowded. The ultimate highlight is the adjoining balcony with a direct view of the Atlantic Ocean – sitting there with a cup of coffee/tea and looking out at the sea is simply priceless! In general, the house offers an incredibly generous living space, beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail and love that you instantly feel right at home. After long walks along the coast, we looked forward to the super comfortable beds every night!A huge "Thank You" goes to the wonderful housekeeper Anna. Her warm and friendly nature made our stay absolutely perfect. She had fantastic tips for the local area and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Thanks to her, you don't feel like an anonymous guest, but rather like a welcome friend of the family.A true jewel for anyone wanting to experience the real, heartfelt Ireland. Thank you for the great memories!!!
We had someone meet us for checking, which was nice. There were a lot of lables on switches which is helpful in a different setting, although some were worn off and hard to read. We had a problem with heat while there..but the host was attentive and did multiple things to try and fix, they even brought over some wood so we could use the fireplace.A beautiful location and place and a nice quiet relaxing village right down the road. Would definitely stay again.
The view of the coast at this house is delightful! The locals are amazing and the property was managed very well! Super satisfied with our stay and even thinking about returning in the future
We had a wonderful time at The Stone House! I especially loved all the artwork inside and out in the garden. We enjoyed a couple meals at O'Donohues and explored the Burren and Ballyvaughan. Our stay was April 1-4 and it was COLD... I wish we would have gotten more supplies to keep a fire going the entire time we were in the house because the upstairs was quite cold! But the beds were cozy so we slept well. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! :)
Fabulous stay at the Stone House! Even during storm Amy we were able to admire the force of the Atlantic while staying in the warmth and comfort of this beautiful home! Thanks so much for sharing your lovely space with us!
