I have lived in Bath for over 10 years and like to think I know it well. I manage just a few houses in and around Bath which keeps me busy. I enjoy meeting the guests from time to time and love helping them organise their days. Happy to answer any questions before booking.

Why they chose this property

I love looking after the Malthouse, it is steeped in history and each time I am there I find something new and interesting to look at. The Malthouse oozes charm and has so much space for large groups of families and friends to get together, even smaller groups to have a bedroom each and space.
The fires keep you warm in the winter whilst the outside space is like being in the South of France in the summer.

What makes this property unique

The Malthouse is a romantic and unique Grade II listed Bathstone building in the heart of Norton St Philip, a picturesque village of historic interest 6 miles South East of Bath in Somerset.

Two lounges, give space for any family or group of friends, large flat outside space with views to the church and neighbouring fields, I particularly love the kitchens inviting for any number of guests staying, large hand crafted table seats up to 14. The top floor is an ideal family room or can be a floor for all the children!

Behind the Malthouse, Church Mead slopes gently down to the 14th century church of St Philip and St James with glorious views over the Somerset countryside.

The village has two great pubs, including one of the oldest inns in England, a farm shop and a local convenience store. The UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath with its many historic attractions is a 15-minute drive away or 20 mins on the bus. You can easily reach pretty Bradford on Avon, the trendy market town of Frome, and charming Bruton for its acclaimed Hauser & Wirth art gallery. Glastonbury with its legendary tor, the original and best safari park Longleat and unmissable Stonehenge are also nearby, along with countless other national Trust properties, quaint villages and ancient churches.
