Welcome to RIVER HOUSE, near Bath:
This special and private location on the outskirts of Bath in the South Cotswolds was once the site of a Carthusian Monastery and is scheduled by Historic England.
Accessed only by a no-through road, so almost traffic-free, River House is within 10 minutes of the bustling city of Bath and close to the thriving market towns of Frome and Bradford on Avon.
BEDROOMS can be arranged as super-king doubles or twins rooms, according to your preference.
River House sleeps 10 - 12 and the Coach House sleeps 2 - 5. The properties can be rented together, or separately.
Please check, before booking a group of 12 or more that both properties are available together on your chosen dates.
River House Bath and The Coach House comprise over 5,000 square feet of accommodation with 2 spacious kitchens and large living rooms. The conservatory dining room and a double-length traditional living room with log-burning fires at each end means that River House is perfect for larger and mixed-age family groups and also for celebrations and entertaining.
Please note that there are some restrictions on outside lighting and noise, due to our location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

CELEBRATIONS and WEDDINGS
We welcome small daytime celebrations and private events, including weddings and birthday parties. Celebrant service referrals, in-house catering and a beautiful green & white striped marquee are available to make your arrangements simple and elegant.
Please note that whilst hand-held instrumentation is welcome, amplified music is not allowed and a function fee is payable for all events. Private contractors are allowed solely by agreement with the owners.
TEAM-BUILDING
We offer traditional rural skills tuition on site to develop team building through learning to work to together creatively and all-inclusively - rather than using the conventional method of competitive sports.
Traditional agricultural skills, such as dry stone walling, iron work, scything and other ancient pastimes including willow weaving and bee-keeping are popular and effective new pathways for corporate team-building.
We also host film crews, catered vegan retreats and writers' workshops.
