Bathroom 1: Walk-In Shower, Toilet. Biomass central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner included. Enclosed rear garden with garden furniture. 2 dogs welcome. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: Sorry, no hen or stag parties. Couples and family bookings only. There is an unfenced stream in the grounds. . Brindhurst Cottage is part of Brindhurst Farm, built in the 1700s. Perfect for couples and families, the cottage is part of the owners family home and is in a lovely rural setting nestled at the foot of Macclesfield Forest and Teggs Nose with fantastic views of both. The location is ideal for walkers, cyclists and those looking for a tranquil escape and with Macclesfield only 10 minutes away by car, there is much on offer locally. The popular Gritstone Trail is a stones throw from the front door and there are several cosy country pubs serving excellent food a short walk away.
The cottage is attached to the main farm house. Built in 1761, the cottage retains many of its original features whilst being fit for modern living. There are two bedrooms, one en-suite, a fully equipped kitchen and a cosy living/dining area with a log burner and original stone floor. A private, tranquil lawned garden leading down to a stream offers the perfect place to relax. As dog lovers themselves, the owners welcome pets.
There are walking and cycling routes around and the owners, are on hand to point you in the right direction. Macclesfield forest, Shuttlingsloe, Teggs Nose and the Peak District are all within easy walking distance. If you want to explore further a field, Jodrell Bank, Buxton, Lyme Park, Tatton Park, Rudyard Lake and railway, Tittesworth Reservoir are all within 30 minutes of the cottage. Manchester, Chester and Liverpool are all within an hours drive too. The villages of Langley and Sutton, with the quirky local store selling local produce and take away pizzas, are nearby.
