A warm and welcoming place to stay. Great location with lovely walks and easy access to St Andrews and Kingsbarns . The cottage had everything you need for a relaxing break
We came in at night and the directions kept turning us around but the response from the team got us there safe and sound! The grounds and flat were absolutely amazing!
Good value, unique location but still convenient to St. Andrews. The walking trails and proximity to Fife Coast Path is nice. Owner, Mike, is very welcoming.

We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the unique location, convenience to St Andrews, and the nearby walking trails. It’s great that Mike made you feel so welcome. We’d be happy to welcome you back anytime. Best wishes, Short Stay St Andrews
We had a wonderful stay at this property! Although a bit out of St. Andrews, the drive is a short one and the ambiance is exceptional for those who enjoy being in nature and love taking walks in the countryside. The house itself was perfect and offered great privacy.
We needed a place to stay for our nephew’s wedding. This little hide away is absolutely perfect. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place. Property manager is very helpful. Place is easy to enter.
Excellent quirky accommodation! Everything needed was present and working. Local area is good for walking and can thoroughly recommend The Inn at Kingsbarns.
This property looks exactly like the pictures! It really is THAT amazing. It was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a cozy getaway. Also, we don’t have a car, but it was very easy to access using only public transportation.
This was a well appointed cottage with outdoor space to explore and connect with nature. Loved the feeling in the cottage. Antiques and rustic feel just what I was looking for.
The granary was such a delight! I booked it last minute for my teenage son and me. It is very roomy and seemed to be well equipped for cooking (we just had breakfast there) convenient location between Kingsbarn and St. Andrews.

Cute but…
We loved this location and thought the cottage was super cute. The fridge was dirty upon arrival and we messaged them via chat to let them know but they never messaged back, so we just cleaned it ourselves. The cottage is old which gives it character, but it could be cleaned better. There were many cobwebs and bugs in the cottage which wasn’t ideal. Overall, we would recommend the location but advise the owners to clean it better.
We absolutely LOVED this cottage, it truly was like a scene from a Jane Austin book. My teenaged daughter couldn’t stop raving about the setting. Plus there was a window seat so she could sit in the seat and read while she watched the rain. The only drawback is that we didn’t stay longer so that we could do more exploring in the woods and the town. It is about a mile and a half from the beach for the more adventurous. Beds were super comfortable. Kitchen is very well-appointed. There is a combo washer/dryer, but as with most of these types of machines, the dryer didn’t get things terribly dry, so I ended up hanging a lot of the wash after it had already been in the dryer for an hour or two, but the washing machine itself worked very well. The washer and the dryer does get very hot, and I never found a way to get actual cold tap water, so be careful with clothing that needs cold water. I will admit however that I have never really used these types of units before so it could have been user error. Anyway we will hopefully some day return and stay for longer.
