Martha’s Harbour: A delightful coastal ‘C’ listed cottage with a paved terrace and spectacular views overlooking the Firth of Forth.

Please note our minimum stay of 3 nights.
No Sunday check-in.

Situated in the beautiful fishing village of St Monans. Martha’s Harbour offers peace and tranquility in an upgraded and modernised early 19th century fisherman’s cottage. On the Fife coastal path and 2 minutes away from the harbour, the cottage is perfectly situated for a holiday break where relaxation, walking or sightseeing is key. In the Village we have a fine dining restaurant called Craig Miller which is a must and two great cafes-Cafe Malo and the Giddy Gannet, fantastic coffee and home baking.

The property is furnished to a high standard and sleeps 4 people. We also pride ourselves in cleanliness and have a great team who help us achieve a very high standard every time.

Martha’s Harbour consists of: Entrance hallway, shower room, kitchen, living/dining-room and two bedrooms. The shower room consists of, shower with electric Mira shower, basin and toilet. The kitchen includes fridge, double oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and washing machine, plus all crockery, glass-wear, pots, pans and cutlery.

The living room has bi-fold doors that open out fully to the paved garden area with its wonderful views of The Firth of Forth and the old St. Monans Kirk. Comfortably furnished with a Smart TV. The dining table is also in the living area and there are 4 dining chairs. Really good free Wi-Fi.

The downstairs, double bedroom features a super king bed, a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets.

The upstairs bedroom has 2 single beds and a velux window offering incredible views over the old Kirk rooftop toward Elie.

Both bedrooms have luxurious bedding and electric blankets for cozy winter nights.
The cottage has a gas central heating system and constant hot water.

Ideally located for access to all that the East Neuk has to offer, from water-sports to historical villages and towns just a short drive away. St. Monans is at the heart of the fine dining experience this part of Fife has to offer with a host of excellent restaurants literally on the doorstep in other neighbouring villages and St Andrews.

The arts festivals that are an intrinsic part of Fife are also close to hand with the St. Monans and Pittenweem art festivals and the annual festivals at Crail and Anstruther a quick car journey away.

For golfers there is an abundance of links course dotted along the coastline from Dumbarnie Links up to the Old Course in St.Andrews (only 12.5 miles away, 20min drive)

Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and Dundee are all a short driving distance away from St. Monans if you are looking to explore more of Scotland.

Martha’s Harbour, with its secluded viewpoint over the Forth, its quaint, sympathetically decorated interior and its unhurried feel makes it an ideal place to relax and unwind.

Martha’s Harbour (name of condo) is locared in St Monans within walking distance to everywhere - the village, up & down the Coastal Path, & over to The Bowhouse for specialty treats. Spectacular view of Firth of Forth from anywhere in the condo. And, within easy driving distance to quality restaurants, St Andrew’s, Crail, Anstruther, & Pittenweem - all worth exploration. We were there for 6 weeks & loved every minute.

Martha’s Haven

We loved the large terrace and comfy outdoor seats with a view of the sea. Bifold doors really opened up the space. Very comfy beds and tasteful decor throughout. Kitchen really well equipped. A great base to explore the East Neuk villages and access to the Fife Coastal Path on the doorstep.

Amazing from start to finish

We had an amazing family break away, the cottage was absolutely stunning, had everything and more we could have needed and the views where breathtaking! The cottage itself was spotless, so cosy and homely in an idyllic fishing town. We will certainly be returning. A wonderful family break, even our 6 year old has fallen in love with the cottage and town 😊 thank you so much for having us

Walking and eating

Carefully planned and decorated. Well equipped had we wanted to cook, but we eat out. We were lucky with the weather and walked the St Monans to Crail and Lower Largo to Elie sections of the coastal path, taking advantage of the 915 bus. We visited St Andrews ( university and golf boring, but town interesting), Kelly’s castle and Falkland Palace. Craig Millard restaurant in St Monans excellent.

Short Break (March 17th)

Loved it! From the moment we entered the property we felt very much at home. The fixtures, fittings, furniture etc were stylish and of high quality. Our only regret was that the weather was cold and we weren’t able to utilise fully the terrific patio area. We’ll rectify by returning some day.

Scotland's marvellous North Sea coast

The lovingly furnished holiday home is completely adequate for a family with two children. Especially on the terrace you can enjoy the view of the North Sea and of course the sunshine (when the sun is shining :-)) You can start hiking tours directly from the holiday home, as the Fife Coastal Path runs almost past the house. The nearest sandy beach is also not far away. There is a car park next to the house. St Monans Church (category A monument) is a few steps away. The nearest large supermarket is about 10 minutes away by car. All in all, it was a relaxing holiday and I am happy to recommend the house.

Beautiful Coastal Cottage

Lovely cottage. Great location for a quiet relaxing break. The cottage was beautifully arranged maximising every little corner. Interesting curio tastefully arranged added to the wonderful panoramic views over the coast. Thoughtful touches included cosy blankets and comfy cushions. Perhaps there was a little step stool somewhere, but we didn’t find it so accessing some of the shelves in the kitchen was tricky as I’m only 5ft 2 and whilst most comfortable once you were in it, the king size bed was a tight fit for it’s available space making it tricky to get in and out of - worth bearing in mind if you have any sort of mobility issues. However, these are minor issues and we would certainly have no hesitation in returning to this immaculate little cottage by the coast.
