About this property
2a Rose St- cosy coastal cottage Fife
2A Rose Street is a delightful cottage tucked up a quiet lane on the Fife Coastal Path. Deceptively spacious, the cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to four guests. Entering at street level there is a well-equipped kitchen with dining area and a WC. From here, steps lead to the lower level where there is a bright lounge with French doors which open onto the garden and a further dining area. A modern family bathroom with shower over bath is up one level from the entrance hall with the first of the double bedrooms next to it. Enjoy views towards the sea from here, and with the window open you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The second double bedroom is located up a further few steps and is a light and neutrally decorated space. The sunny patio garden has outdoor furniture, perfect for enjoying some al fresco dining or morning coffee. The cottage is located just one street back from the shore and ideally located for a dip in the nearby tidal pool. An allocated parking space is provided for guests. St Monans is a charming fishing village which has a gentle pace of life. Forming part of the East Neuk- a string of villages along this beautiful coast- St Monans is a popular destination for those seeking a quiet and relaxed stay by the sea. With each of the neighbouring villages easily reached, including via the scenic coastal path, there’s no shortage of cafes, restaurants and bars if you don’t fancy cooking. St Andrews is less than 10 miles away and Edinburgh around 1 hr drive so it’s an ideal base from which to explore further. 2A Rose St is a real home from home, offering all the comforts and amenities expected for a memorable stay by the sea.

Lovey cottage with everything we needed. Large, comfortable, peaceful, clean, everything is considered. Cosy. My daughter loved it so much she wanted to live there. Perfectly located for our road trip around Fife. Recommend the East Pier Smokehouse for food.

Lovely house. Well equipped. Very comfortable master bed, I slept brilliantly! Really close to walks and East Pier Smokehouse (fantastic food in the quayside). Recommended.
We loved staying at this charming cottage and would happily visit again! It was very well supplied and comfortable. Its layout is great for both group activity and privacy, with major areas separated by stairs. This added to its charm for us, but worth noting for potential visitors who find stairs difficult. It is conveniently located, and we appreciated the parking spot and friendly neighbors. Wonderful base from which to explore Fife.
